Guys to be honest i dont like the female leads personality she seemed trash
Thats.. kinda not enough reason for you to call her a trash. I mean in reincarnation themes, trash is a big word lmao. If you compare her to other trashes in other reincarnations or transmigration stories, you wouldn't be able to call her that at all. I kinda get why you don't like her since she might not be your type of fl but for you to call her a trash is a bit- dumb? overreacting? lol
i agree that the fl has a kinda twisted personality and that's what makes her different. you see, this kind of fl ias really rare, tbh i dont really like her personality im kinda hoping for a character development where she wont treat her spirits harshly, well except for the water, but anyway her personality sucks, and her confidence is over the top since she knew she's a genius annddd i hope that someday she'll meet her match. oh i forgot, dont you think that calling her a "trash" is a little harsh? all of us are aware of her twisted personality but that doesnt makes her a trash lol okay
That's a child mentality to believe that "since they are bad, they deserved to be killed". We are in the XXI's century, we learn the value of life regardless of the deed. Basically, SHE killed them. Killing someone is not easy task, even with the greatest hatred, killing is never simple, NEVER.
You don't have to be so rude, also. You can disagree WITHOUT being rude. Lose your calm again over meaningless things like that, and wait for your report. GOSH.
My point was simple. Simple reading skills could figure out. The fact that she got the resolve for killing them without feeling the "post-anxiety" of HER FIRST EVER KILL is simply astonishing. Some elements are amiss in the psychological process from local isekaied girl Ordering murder without deep post-reflection. It's just off.
This is a philosophical question, that could utterly be debated for years and century but its funny you can say that because some people even right now has no value in their lives and lost them due to modern systems and current political systems.
If you want to debate about the value of life I could give you hundreds of links and evidences as well as studies but first you need to change your settings cause we can't reply to you
This is for the dude who said what is the value of life, and if you put it plainly the value of life depends on the person itself. It was self defence too. If she didn't fight back she would have been the one to lose her life along with two other children and dont forget the fact that this wasn't their first time meaning a number of children had already been exploited and taken away.
But you have to understand she's not that bad it's not like she degrades other people. Ray and her has a close bond and relationship that could be offputtin for many but for them could be understood as normal.
She has problems like every human does and the fact that shes hung up on her death like that could also be a factor to her character in all else I do think you don't have to like a character cause just like how some people can be not our cup of tea.
So as much as I appreciate yall going and defending Miss Crowell everyone is not obligated to like her.
Okay thats a reach, before we start consider every logical possibility in that scene, she was stressed and her flight or fight response is activated.
We are not psychotic because we're happy she killed people, but considering the fact that those people contribute to children getting kidnapped and turned to slave rings where they would either die, abused or exploited for all their life Mc is in no way shape or form capable of other choices if yall had analyzed the scene clearly and when they did try to escape said people threatened to kill them.
To her it was a kill or be killed situation granted the act of killing people here was not as heavy of an act and was taken lightly but y'all are too hung up on the fact that she killed people but remember.. she killed one and the other escaped which means this said people is probably still out there doing the same shit.
Additionally, she wanted to have fun in the festival with a friend she was a child and she acted like one. It was not her fault that people wanted to take her and sell her off yknow? No one goes out and goes around in a busy neighborhood thinking OH IM ABOUT TO GET SOLD OFF INTO THE SLAVE MARKET that was the last thing in her mind and like why are you blaming her rule breaking anyway… its not like her breaking the rules started a chain event where she just had to get kidnapped she simply was just there at the time the kidnappers wanted to get a child blame the perpetrators not the victim.
I suggest you read the webtoon again. She was almost KILLED but ash saved her. Those bastards treat them like a product waiting to sell them like a slave. And worst they tried to kill her but thanks to ash she didn't die and yet you guys are ranting about value of life lol. Then i guess I might call you psychopath too since you were mad that she defended her self instead of waiting to be sold and killed yup.
Also Gravenshi, first of all thank you for recommending good stuff, I saw your board for some stuff to read while in the site and they were great
Second of all, I agree that the writing of that portion was a bit off putting and honestly killing someone just didn't weight on her that long but I think it was mostly the writer's choice of doing so I don't know how the scene translate in the novel but it might be better there.
Third of all, I really mean it on the value of life, it can be debated for so long but I am firm to believe that the value of life while high is highly dependent onto societal influences or power influences which makes it expendable but also disposable.
for the people who said the criminals didnt deserve to die and miss crowell's attempt to kill them was 'too harsh', all i can say is that youre braindead. those people literally stole children for money. thats fcking vile. and seeing how they have a huge ass dungeon and all to keep all their 'products', im gonna assume theyve been doing that sht for years. imagine how many children theyve sold and how many families theyve ruined. it could easily reach to hundreds, if not thousands. if you are putting value on those things' lives then i suggest you go fck yourselves.
(▰˘◡˘▰) You know how to speak to me. Therefore, I unconditionally acknowledge with everything you wrote. (The rude... - was not addressed to you though).
My question must have took you off guard, but it was just rhetorical. It relates to your second point. Regardless of the deserving fate of those bandits, the glitch dwells on where or when does Jeannie value life, especially others' life?
Like you said, it might be a point avoided by the author, but it was crucial and couldn't be just left out - in my humble opinion. Character development is weak here as we keep having odd feelings that she is kinda showing an "evil" side. Yet, she is lacking awareness of her bad deeds, which is quite concerning.
So, some people are actually missing the big picture, which is not "Killing or not the bandits" but "reflecting on the act of killing".
Since, we didn't get the "with great powers comes great responsibilities", the MC might indeed look scummy as she does whatever she wants without introspecting some actions, such as killing : so far, there are no real "responsibilities", only "whims". She's quite egoistical as she only cares about herself and what/who she cares about : other than that, nothing seems to have value. She's worthy of her bad reputation and therefore, more likely an anti-hero.

Idk but feels like those capture targets are just so fucking easy to tame lol
fr like all she had to do was talk to the prince, pat glasses guy n treat the knights wound lmao even the villainess was tame just in a few pages
