I can get the ML's experiment, but at the same time it just feels like manipulation to me. He is purposefully trying to seduce the MC, even manipulating his reactions when the MC doesn't act the way he wants (pretending to be sad, etc. to garner pity). Plus, he said he wasn't even excited that the MC was his Namer partner, he just wants to test his hypothesis, making it feel like a game.
On top of that, when the MC tries and calls him out on his behavior, a.k.a. the seducing, the ML gaslights him and says "Idk what you're talking about, you must be imagining it."
I just hope that the ML has good intentions and plans to take care of the MC even when he gets the results of his little experiment. Right now it feels like ML doesn't REALLY like him, he's just toying with him. That's the vibes I'm getting. MC is a good person and I don't want him to be tricked.
