I’m stopping at chapter 50. Pretty boring, nothing big has happened the whole time. The characters suffer from resting face 24/7 and the romance and character interactions feels forced and robotic.

Because when she realized the entire truth, she regretted her actions and tried to fix things. She's not there to be evil or I don't even think she was there to save him but to claim him or maybe if she was trying to save him, she was trying to save his soul so he could redeem himself. The girl was tortured for a long time so she needs a break
I think she still loves him deep down and wanted to save his soul like you said but with him being so twisted he stole from her again and will have some of his powers again.
