Can someone fill me in on the story again? I still don't get why An Ze wants to find his spore. Other than it being part of his body, what else can it do? Can it reproduce? Make him regenerate?
I'm not very good at explaining things but a mushrooms life purpose is to basically take care of its spore until it is ready to develop itself. I believe it explains this in the story which is the reason it's so important for him to get it back. What the spore does is not mentioned in the story yet and I don't want to say too much because it is a spoiler but I recommend just continuing the story to see how everything develops ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

An zhe (lil mushroom) sacrifices himself and dies toward the end. But his spore remains with Lu Feng and gradually grows, turning into a carbon copy of An Zhe (lil mushroom). The spore is basically his clone. And he gets reborn through his spore. Lu Feng had to wait for quite a long time though.
So his rebirth also had his soul and memories? Also can u explain the lore towards the earlier chapters bc I thought the spore belonged to an zhe friend who died at the beginning and how was an zhe able the clone his friend idk if im making sense but I just don’t understand the beginning. Also how long did leng feng wait for the rebirth?

Oh no....I think you got everything messed up. Let me explain as best as I can. There's a lot of details but I'll try to give very simple explanations.
This is a world far into the future where one day the magnetic field of earth that protects our environment suddenly disappears. UV and cosmic rays start invading our planet, causing genetic mutations in other animals (mainly insects and other micro-organisms). These dangerous mutants are able to infect human beings and transform them into brainless beasts (xenogeneic). Think of them as viruses who infect people immediately in contact of blood.
Just to be clear, mutants and xenogeneics (human beings who get infected and transform into mutants) do not have any conscience or ability to think like a human being left. Their intelligence level turns into just like an insect's (in most cases).
Except for Lil Mushroom, who is our main character of the story. He is, as his name suggests, actually a mushroom (fungi). He was growing in the abyss, in his own world.
Abyss is the outside world, or more like the uninhabited areas of the world. If you have watched AOT, think of this as people/societies living inside walls (human base) in extreme quarantine and scientific protections while the outside world (abyss) roams with dangerous mutants and forests.
This is where the story starts: An zhe, a young man, goes into the abyss with his fellow "friend". There he gets brutally attacked by a mutant beast. His friend ditches him right at the spot and runs for his life without trying to save An zhe. An zhe was already at the verge of dying but thankfully he was in the area where Lil mushroom was growing.
Lil mushroom starts feeding on An zhe's bleeding body and somehow gains it's own "human conscience". This is a very important point of the story which might feel a little complicated but let me try to explain.
This incident is never heard of before because it's usually brainless mutants infecting people and turning them into brainless mush as well. Not the other way around where an organism (lil mushroom) comes in contact with a human being (An zhe) and gains "human conscience". In a way, in this case, Lil mushroom (a fungi) got infected by a human being.
After gaining the ability to think like a person, Lil mushroom tries to stop An zhe's bleeding and save him. But An zhe tells him that it's no use. He has already been wounded and infected. He is a xenogenic now. It's over for him as the human base only allows pure human beings to enter.
Hearing the word "human base", Lil mushroom suddenly becomes desperate. He tells An zhe that he has to go to the human base cause someone from there stole his spore (as ya'll already know, it was Lu Feng).
An zhe warns him to never go there as Lil mushroom will immediately be killed. But Lil mushroom tells him that reviving his spore is the only purpose left in his life. An zhe still warns him, offers Lil mushroom to completely feed on his body and leaves him his human base id cards as he passes away. Lil mushroom slowly takes over An zhe's dead body and basically turns into a human being. With the help of An zhe's id cards and An zhe's body, he manages to enter the human base.
Please note that Lil mushroom is his OWN person with his own conscience and personality. An zhe and him are two SEPERATE individuals even though they share the same body. An zhe is already dead and done with. He never gets reborn. Lil mushroom gains human conscience and takes over An zhe's body. This is Lil mushroom's story, a fungi who got infected and turned into a human.
As this was a reverse case, he is unable to infect another human being in any way, unlike other xenogeneics or mutants.
I'm sorry to ask more questions after you explained all this but is there a reason why Lu Feng didn't kill An Zhe(lil mush) when he saw him at the entrance gate of their base? I don't mind spoilers.

There was no exact reason ever given in the novel. It's up to the reader's interpretation. Probably the author's early way of showing Lu Feng's immediate attraction/weakness towards Lil mush?
Lu Feng is brutal as an arbiter. He probably has the highest kill counts in the history of arbiters. Very much the last person to hesitate shooting someone from a mere suspicion. Lil mush was genuinely an unique case. Despite suspecting him, Lu Feng didn’t kill him and sent him for the buffer period. Even the doctor got surprised! Lu Feng really wanted to give Lil mush the benefit of the doubt.
How lucky. He gets to put his head on tiddies ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
I was scared to read this at first because of the 1% one-star reviews and the initial comments but HOLY MOLY, this is a masterpiece! The art is so gorgeous and so hottt. Especially the part where they wore wigs and made out in the storage room—I could feel the chemistryyy!!! I could feel it through the screen from the art, the background, the color, the vibe, and the expressions. They're so cuteee (≧∀≦).
It's just sad to think that these kids had individual struggles and bad pasts that we cannot even hate them. All of them have problems and traumas of their own. I'm so glad all of them overcame it. They literally just dropped the climax and almost made us faint from the tragedies that happened. Now it ended just like that?! Oh hell naw, we need more. We need side stories, we DEMAND side stories ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ
(╯°Д °)╯╧╧. We want stories about their school life, living together, Chul-so sunbae's past and his and Sunny's story, and Noona's story too. Seeing as there is no author's note, there probably will be side stories and an author's note popping up in a few months. We just gotta be patient and wait

I think Brian/Ian always had this instinct to be grateful to Sol's brother and to only love Sol. I mean, Sol's brother saw him first as Ian but he never fell in love with him, even if he's been with him the longest. He's only spent time with Sol for like a few months but now he fell in love with him. So cuteee(≧∀≦)

Well, this is just my interpretation but the stain that was in it, it could be a kiss mark(like from a lipstick or something). And it being in the middle means it's in a love triangle, or it could also be in a (warning 18+) threesome.
Lol he's been wearing a lot of bright colours recently because MC( I forgot his name) called him and angel before and said he looked even more like an angel wearing white. The stain was from food

This is the first enemies-to-lovers BL manhwa I've seen where one of them isn't oblivious and is self-aware of their feelings... pretty straightforward too. It feels like Yugun is too bold and everything happens too fast, but it's not a bad thing. Usually, romances like this tend to have kisses as pecks, but not ACTUAL real kisses like this, so I was shocked because it was so unpredictable. I always jump in my seat every time they kiss. I DON'T EXPECT IT. I always expect a peck on the cheek or the lips. I can't explain it, but I guess I see this as soft and innocent love, when it actually isn't. One thing I know for sure is that I definitely get butterflies whenever they kiss.
And his brother is the same. They're very self-aware and accept their feelings so willingly without hesitation. I guess they really are brothers. You'd think it's going to be a slow burn because they're going to keep running away from each other and their feelings, but instead, they face them head-on very aggressively. I can't with this couple.
By the way, this artist always has a good sense of style and fashion, but sadly, it only applies to cold climates, which I can't wear since I live in a tropical country. And they are a whole MOOD. I love every expression they make the characters do since Snail Pond Robber, and that's why this author's works are some of my favorite comedies.
Anyway, Yugun's chibi looks exactly like Caelus from Star Rail.

It was good! I was glad there wasn't much drama. Especially the issue with Sera; they didn't show her face and didn't even appear in the story. The only drama is between the two mcs, they understand each other so it gets resolved fast. I'm kinda sad that some parts didn't make it just like the author said at the end but at least it wasn't dragged out. It's nice and refreshing to read. I might reread it again.
Honestly, I didn't expect this to revolve around their idol lives and not just Sihyeon's life. I'm not complaining but I think that's why Sihyeon and ML barely have any interaction and this is a slowburn. But I think season 4, this chapter and their phone call is a hint that the romance arc will now start!!!
