He’s not trying to be toxic. He’s clearly never been in a relationship with a guy and he’s said before he’s always had a facade and never truly loved someone so it’s hard for him to realize what acting on love for another person is rather than just liking that they like you and he slowly realizes that. I did the same in my first relationship, I was suuuper jealous but I didn’t know how to handle or control it because I wasn’t used to a relationship or love.
