I think this moment will lead to them understanding each other because that’s what cárcel’s trying to do right now. Since season 2 carcels been getting anxious and doubtful about ines’s true purpose in choosing him as her fiancé. He’s asked her a couple of times now if she has some kind of plan too. That’s why he keeps feeling anxious these past couple of chapters cause he’s slowly figuring ines out.
That’s why I disagree with you about him being a hypocrite. Hes talking to her to try to understand her, not to blame her. He even says in this chapter that his past is coming back to bite him and that he doesn’t even need her to like him. It’s just hard cause ines doesnt want him to understand. So him questioning her is getting him nowhere since she’s just answering with more lies.

This is probably one of the best romance mangas I have ever read. Surprisingly such a wholesome and realistic story about an Amish boy trying to find his place in the world. I see how everyone is saying it’s weird they never kept in touch but keeping in touch with your ex can be painful for some. I am just glad that they found each other in the end

It was always his character trait. He values the sanctity of marriage and is fervently loyal to family. He said as much and is proving he meant that. The girl who locked him into a marriage when he was 6 wasn’t his girlfriend and basically ignored him until a few weeks before the wedding. The fact that anyone still feels he should’ve been a saint who obediently waited for her to be his one and only woman once she was good and ready is weird af to me. I’m glad he got to experience shxt and go out there and I’m glad he’s proving to be someone whose word means something.
