That's not really true. Medea and Perion make a deal to work together to take down Eros. The part that looked like they were getting chummy was just a small act to get away from the townspeople and live up to what the townspeople percieve Medea as - a woman who has many men. But, they are not fake dating or anything. And Helio was sad because he wants to be the closest to Medea, even when she works with more people like Perion.
