2. Thus, landlord lady accept him to her family?

Yep, I think all of those are correct. Well, except I think the landlady partly accepted him into their family, because her child seemed to be severely depressed due to not being able to see Chiwoo. If I remember it correctly. It's been some time since we learned about it.. (￣∇￣;)
