I really like Zion’s (ML) design, he’s very sexy and I’m a sucker for long-haired men. However, sometimes he feels iffy because his actions come across as love bombing. Pulling her in, whispering sweet nothings into her ear and then he’s all about business again. Your identity mustn’t be revealed yada yada you passed the test yada yada. I can’t really tell how he truly feels becaude he did give off manipulative vibes in the beginning. But perhaps he’s starting to see her in a different light.
I will say that their relationship is improving beyond a contract. Though, it seems like misunderstandings are a common occurrence to the both of them, pls talk. It is pretty funny when Rose talks about not giving herself false hope but then immediately folds when he’s in close proximity. Stand up girl!! Tame that man and make yourself invaluable to him.
I like his characterization. I feel like it matches him. He’s some god like character and royalty. Of course he doesn’t fall for her right off the bat or treat her special and is cocky. He has his own goals so he has to use people and manipulate and do bad things (he can’t be a softie bc of his position anyways) and I think it just Good that they show it and it’s more realistic they don’t just fall for each other. Also, the relationship they had didn’t start off good anyways. There’s obviously a power difference and it’s not brushed off like that too.
It really does feel like so much is happening but at the same time, nothing is happening like the others said lol. It’s a litle fast paced, like, there’s a lot of timeskips that could’ve been with a lil elaboration. I always find myself getting confused at parts of the story because Charlize will be in the middle of a mission and then suddenly getting another vision, so it’s ANOTHER thing to solve. It’s like a cycle, I don’t know when things start or end because a lot of things and theories come out at once. It’s made worse when some chapters have absolutely shit translation so that’s that.
Also, it’s a bit silly when Charlize is magically good at something and there’s no elaboration with it at all other than “I got this from my past life.” or “Charlize must’ve been good at this already.” I understand how she’s good with a sword though. Also, how did she discover she had divine magic? It kind of feels random that she “apparently” has it, and the story just kind of skimmed through that part with no explanation(?)
Another thing is that the romance is beginning to feel forced. Don’t @ me but Calix might as well not exist, I’m sorry… Charlize has been carrying EVERYTHING. She had single-handedly protected Sasha more than he did and investigated AND solved problems on her own. He’s like a pocket helper, with the only use of being there to help Charl with her visions and some inside information /j
You can tell the illustrator is trying really hard to make him look appealing with those flowery panels and pink dialogues even when he’s saying the bare minimum hahaha. It’s kind of sad since I was prompted to read this because I was curious of what type of development the main couple will have.
But I suppose he’s been more useful in the recent chapters. I hope their relationship will develop more naturally in the future. Calix seriously had more chemistry with OG Charl than the current one.

GODS I’m so emotional over the recent chapter for some reason. Ceres seeing the world differently from what he was used to seeing and how he was processing the feeling, also seeing his train of thoughts in that moment made me so :((((
OMG SAME wveryone else yapping abt him hair im here like damn my baby is growing
