I just came across this manhwa so suddenly but I didn't expect them to be my favorite mxf couple. It's realistic that they don't fall in love so quickly like most I've read. Soobin unknowingly helping ease Yejun's fear/insecurities will always be top tier. She was truly the light that made his dark world bright and we love to see it <3 I have a special appreciation for Soobin because she has such a strong character and she stands by her values and doesn't let people walk all over her. It must've felt intimidating to suddenly be apart of a family like Yejun's, but she managed to make their hearts soften because she's just THAT bitch
Looking at the comments and it’s filled with people saying that they’re rereading this masterpiece. I’m so sad this wasn’t my introduction to BL in general. I wish to relive the feeling of reading this manhua for the first time
Alright, look, I don’t care what people have to say because everyone has their own opinions but I really am on the verge of dropping this even when I’m so close to finishing it because of Noel, the MC- Honestly, if you remove the magic thingy, she’s completely useless. It was her mother that started everything for Dreux (she was the one who saved him truly), it just so happened that their fates were intertwined.
This is the first time that I felt like the ML deserves to be the main character of the story over the FL because he was such an interesting character. His initial behavior in the main story, followed by the progress of his feelings for Noel and then towards the time when he came looking for her when he came back to the past was caused a roller coaster of emotions within me and I truly felt hus frustration (really good writing btw) and he was the only one interesting between the two.
Sure, Noel is a kind girl, but she’s just a crybaby with self-loathing that always needs saving. Most of the time that her life was endangered was because of her clumsiness, and Dreux happens to fall in love with her because she was a fresh sight since it seems like every noble in this story was depicted as shallow and arrogant and she was humble. I almost felt annoyed by her, but she did have her moments. I tried to like her character so bad but she lacks substance, so I only liked the ML.
Update- kind of skimmed over to the latest chapters and I didn’t really care much anymore. I’m happy for y’all and whatever
Not talking about the story itself, but the translations. At first read I didn’t care and let it be because I was really invested but it’s so annoying to see uploaders publish chapters when they know their translations are shit. Why??? It’s so hard to understand. How does uploading in mangago even work, im so sick of seeing barely cohesive translated chapters. If you know it’s shit, why upload it are these bots… pls just let actual translation groups handle these
Maybe it's because I've read little modern manhwas but I was pleasantly surprised with how realistic some of the scenes were. It depicted how challenging it is to break free from your abuser, and how it isn't an instant process.
Also, in the last few chapters when Junil talked about marriage also surprised me. Another commenter took notice of the good dialogue and I agree! Usually, the main couple would just marry off but it recognizes that same-sex marriage isn't legal in Korea and mentions its law in America instead. Maybe it isn't much but it's really good to me.
I was honestly waiting for the chapters where he comes in, and he did... but it wasn't very impactful in the end. I thought he would be a 2nd male lead, and honestly, he's a funny dude. Would've been entertaining to see rivalry between them and Asher but in a banter-ish way since they're already allies.
Also, stopped reading after that kid came in the story. Thought it was Aria's child but once it isn't about the MC anymore, I just dip lol

Edith is too kind that’s I’M the one who’s frustrated for her. Killian’s words when he hated her before stuck with her so much that even when he deadass risked his life by jumping in that lake to save her + defended her honor multiple times + made love with her more than once and still continuously acts sweet with her, she still thinks that he cares for that blonde Lizard so she’s trying to act like she’s cool with her. Ughh please Edith, girl, you know it yourself that the list of suspects are getting narrower and leaving Cliff and Lizard but you still can’t believe that she’s a fake hoe omgg. How are these dumbass nobles getting so moved with her tears, sis must be crying holy water or some shit
