exactly, Sangwoo saw his mom in Yoonbum, and basically only liked him for that reason. Sangwoo had a lot of issues (freakinnpsychopath) and treated Yoonbum like actual garbage.
Seungho does care about NK in his own way, and it’s been pretty evident that he favours him. For the era he lives in, Seungho’s way of thinking (acting superior and forcing NK to do things) makes sense, even tho it’s pretty morally wrong. And he does treat NK pretty well (giving him clothes, medicine, food) other than the non-con that goes on.
If one of the 2 evils had to be picked, Seungho is a way better choice.
Exactly! And even the author has pointed it out through the story that Seungho favors NK, with all the weird looks that people give them and the remark “but he’s just a commoner”.
I’m not saying that because of this all the abuse NK has gone trough is excusable btw, I’m just pointing out that Seungho cares about NK in his own twisted and selfish way, while Sangwoo cared nothing about Yoonbum, and it shows in the way Yoonbum lived
