Connor was just bullied at school like millions of other people and then he was attacked by a racist organization.
Simon on the other hand has really been through a lot.He had no real family.The people supposed to be his family abused him on a daily basis so much that he had to leave his house asap.He lived with Connor 's parents for years but when they found out about him and Connor being a couple they beat and insulted Simon and told him he must had corrupted Connor.That really hurt Simon it was like he lost his family for the second time.They didn't reject Connor.They only demanded him not to be gay.Simon had to deal with Connor and his tantrums all the time because Connor had inferiority complex and a victim mentality and he took all his frustrations out on Simon talking shit that sjw's say, and then he would apologize.Simon could have had a solo career and become successfull years ago but he chose to be with Dark Heaven and Connor and support his boyfriend even though Connor didn't had significant talent.Simon had to work 4 jobs after Connor was injured.He suffered because his loved one was in the hospital and for a while he was denied visiting Connor.Connor left Simon for his own personal issues and not really because Simon supposedly had signed a contract which btw Simon did partly to help Connor financially but Simon hadn't signed for a debut yet.He only signed for an album and he was ready to cancel everything but Connor was prepared not to listen to Simon.He dumped him in the worst most cruel way possible throwing away 20 years of relationship because he was a coward.He even told Simon that his mother was right he is not really gay but in fact he was corrupted by Simon.He told him that everything is his fault and he wished they had never met in the first place.Simon became self destructive after that.He eventually signed the contract for a debut which had him prostituting himself as requirement.Simon became a drug addict and slept with prostitutes after making them wear wigs to look like Connor.If it wasn't for Kiev, Simon would had died then.Connor admitted that throughout their relationship he had always envied Simon and he wanted to see him hurt and sad suffering so that Connor could feel a bit better about him self.Connor hated being inferior to Simon and depending on Simon but he didn't hesitate to be with a rich woman who provided everything for him and he worked in her father 's company.SPOILERS Veronica is a waf member responsible for everything that happened to Connor.He send his parents sex videos and photos of him and Simon.She ordered WAF to attack Connor and mess up his hands.She was behind Simons contract with TRex.She lied about being pregnant Simon went to talk to her and she drugged him,hurt him,kidnapped him and eventually shot him and Simon was in a coma for a really long time.However Veronica only challenged their relationship she didn't ruined t.Connor did because he was weak and couldn't handle the pressure.Simon was even accused for the murder of Pete.He even went to jail.He lost so much money because Gale threatened him but he also lost a lot of money in court so he could get out of jail on probation and he had to wear that thing on his leg.He went through so much because Connor left him.Is it even worth it? Simon deserves better than a dark heaven with Connor who often appears as a demon with black wings behind Simon.

I forgot to mention that Simon was almost linched in public for being gay after he surrendered to the police as a murder suspect.Connor had it pretty easy compared to what Simon has been through and Simon never once hurt others because he had problems.

I gotta say Simon has had a shitty time in comparison. Hmm is that why the title page is drawn like that. Never thought of it.

@Vaccines Um, you are undermining the PTSD that Connor also is facing. You are acting like this is victim contest. Both suffers huge amount of pain. Connor not only is attacked by racist organization, he is attacked for who he is, an Asian GAY in white community. Not only that, he lost his hand and ability to play guitar. He was called monkey, humiliated in public, being treated like he's less than a dog.

Simon tries to be sympathetic, but he never experience the pain of racism, so he couldn't understand what Connor has been through. And there is no one pointing a gun at Simon to make him taking drugs.

Because he suffered racism that is an excuse and justification for his actions against people who loved him? Simon had PTSD as well from all the abuse he suffered at his house.But unlike Connor Simon has a stronger personality and he became self destructive again unlike Connor who hurts others.Connor had asked Simon to abandon everything and emigrate with him that is a proof that he didn't care much about hiscareer and stuff.Plus it was never a dream of Connor to play music.He only got into it because Simon loved music.And Connor is just way too sensitive.Your reaching pretty hard in order to justify Connor.I can tell.I'm not talking shit about your obviously favorite character.Im simply stating my opinion based on canon facts written in the comic and based on logic.Kiev was Asian too but he never became a target because he had different personality than Connor.Plus Connor only suffered bullying for a small amount of time.He became super popular when he bfriends with Simon.Simon was always by his side and protected him.Its not that Simon could not understand Connor he was just telling him ttruth and the best advice.Nothing good happens if you get upset.And just ignore the ignorant haters.Connor was overly dramatic making everything such a big deal.And you can't understand or sympathise with a person who has lost everything and everyone and are so miserable from life that they take drugs which can potentially kill them, because you haven't experienced similar despair...so leave Simon alone.

I honestly believe that you are a troll. You've been spoiling the upcoming chapters. Nothing in your comments make sense and you always comment on how Conor is a bad terrible person and how Simon is a clean wonderful person. They are both flawed characters...both been through terrible sh*t. Nothing you say can justify that...everyone is entitled to have an opinion but to continually debunk a character's traits is unnecessary. its not based on "what i want to see" but its based on logic and on what the artist has shown us the most.And for the most part objectively we see Simon going through much more difficulties and suffering the most.

If they want to miss the entire point of the comic this spectacularly, you gotta let them.

I don't think anyone here is trying to undermine PTSD. It looks like Vaccine just wanted to point out that sure Connors been through some shit, but Simon has too.
Maybe they wanted to point this since before this chapter the sympathy Simon got was lacking in the comment section for some reason.

And to be honest I could say you're undermining what Simon has gone through by saying "He couldn't understand what Connor has been through."
The subject can matter to a degree. But Conner and Simon have both been through a lot from the society portrayed in this book. They've both been through extreme hate and harassment.
I'm just glad Conner and Simon have figured it out somewhat. And are both confident in their relationship.

i've read this korean webcomic called "Dark Heaven " several times and i suggest all the real fans of the series to buy it on official website and actually show their love and support.Most of you here just like to fangirl over gay "star crossed lovers " but if you did a bit of research and you actually checked ajuns Twitter and you read her interviews about her story you would understand what im talking about.The title is pretty self explanatory.The only thing Simon and Connor could have together is a dark heaven which is just a lie an illusion and at least Simon deserves better.According to the artist she said she mostly wrote bad tragic things and sex for the main pairing because for the most part that is the only inspiration she gets from those characters.She even said that she doesn't know what their future will be as a couple, the author also said that Simon needs to go to therapy for his neglected phychological problems.This story may have a typical happy ending but ajunzs made it clear that even though she wont continue the story after chapter 82 she still thinks Simon and Connor will still have plenty of serious problems in their relationship.They are completely different personalities and its difficult to find a balance.Especially for further in the future and especially if they continue being 24/7 together.That was what partly brought corruption in their relationship.They were constantly together ever since they were kids.Lived together,went to school together,moved in their own place together.They even practised and worked together.They never had any time for themselves.If they continue being like that they will break up again.

The author tries to communicate that life is unpredictable and the couple has a lot to struggle against, including sometimes their own personalities and traumas. She doesn't want a fairy tale ending, that much is true. But citation needed on her ever saying or implying that Simon deserves better or their relationship is a lie. Don't twist her words.

It is a lie because its a "dark heaven " but only in Simon's head.Simon is not well psychologically and needs some intense therapy.He looks strong and positive on the outside but he is depressed.No matter how Simon and Connor supposedly love each other in this case it's not enough to cure Simon 's mental issues which he has been ignoring for years and unfortunately nobody in the fandom seems to get it.Maybe if Simon goes to therapy he will change the way he thinks about Connor and their relationship.

This isnt a manga. This is a manhwa, meaning its Korean and not Japanese. The reason why some people are complaining about Manhwas are because mangas have a much bigger marketing and income. Where as the Korean manhwa industry isn't as huge and gets less money. So do you see the issue? Korean manhwa artists are severly underpayed and really need the extra money. If you are an artist, its super hard living off your dream. Thats why people are "complaining", but everyone has the right to do so just like you have the right to complain as well.
