I love these. They're not the only well-written female characters in BL that I know by any means, but they're the ones I really like. I'm not listing them for you to use as ammo though. There's a kernel of truth to your friend's argument. "Dehumanise" is a strong word. But if you think of it as female characters so flat they don't even feel human, ......
