i mean maybe we're operating with different levels of understanding of the omegaverse but in most series i've read it's pretty well understood that when an omega goes into heat it's unintentional & that alphas are going to react on instinct. the fact that he specifically mentions that it was a matter of his brother happened to be next to him at the time is a bit of a tip-off that it was an unfortunate set of circumstances imo.
