that would like to jump to conclusions (no hate on them just wanted to bring awareness)
so I'll just repost this again and i hope there would be less people throwing the word "red flag" around just because they heard this or that from someone. cause words tend to change when it gets spread around too often.

here are 2 spoiler thingies i read and how 2 different people read the novel. see how different their wordings are and how much such things changes the perception and first impression of a novel:

Even his friend Danny is a spy and reports him to his mother, but he let's things be, as he doesn't have the strength to argue anymore.
Dohyun( ML) knows him from the start. (These are spoilers I got from the reviews on NU)
He hides the fact that he knows him and starts treating him well. He buys him drink and pastry, helps him with his studies. I don't know what he's after yet. But yeah, he's totally different from his personality in "Omega Complex"

ML is not really a playboy he dated but he wasn’t like actively being a player!

So ML knew MC’s mom since he was like 10(?). He met her at an orphanage and she happened to sponsor him. She found a family to adopt him. His family loves him. They kept in contact throughout the years but their relationship wasn’t exactly affectionate (?). Anyways one day the mom contacted him and asked him to tutor MC because the mom is worried about him and having someone close in age would maybe help MC open up about his troubles. ML knew from the start about everything and he agreed cause well the mom is his benefactor? He expected MC to be a brat spoiled by the almighty mom but he met a quiet and shy MC and kinda quickly took a liking to him and started worrying about him and everything. He was pretty genuine about how he treated Wooyeon besides how their tutoring started and him getting updates from the mom, when Wooyeon got send home from school because he beat up the bully. He was always worried about him being alone and all that. He was also feeling really guilty the whole time and when Wooyeon confessed ML knew he needed to draw a line and then disappeared. he has been feeling guilty about it since!

So after they met again and MC asked him if he was an alpha. ML first didn’t know it was MC but when his friend told him shortly after that the name was “Seon Wooyeon” ML immediately recognized him and started chasing after him but our MC was quicker and gone. ML really seemed like he wanted to repair the relationship (?) but when they met again at that drinking party MC “pretended” like he didn’t know him, so ML hesitated and thinking MC didn’t recognize him but he was always thinking about confessing and all that. He was nice to him because he felt guilty but also worried and besides that everything was pretty genuine though he could have been less ambiguous lol. none of his actions here were manipulated by the mom. i don’t think he was in contact like that with the mom after he quit tutoring him.

ML was always really torn about confessing to being hired by his mom back when he was a tutor and recognizing him and not saying anything. Of course him not confessing at any earlier point of their budding romance is the cause of their conflict though. happens around 3/4 into the story around chapter 70-ish

this is not the most accurate summary bc i binge read it but it’s the gist of it :)

it's cute how the power of friendship, family and dreams of becoming a magician can solve their problems hahah lol jk

but kidding aside

everything is nice even the build up of the story.
i was actually expecting a super long back story of the headmaster which would already put a damper on the adrenaline people were feeling for the upcoming fight or the ongoing fight (cant remember)

but I'm honestly glad that they only put the backstory at the end of every chapter. and making them in fragments rather than a long one really helps with the story telling idk what else to explain other than it's nice to see that hahaha.

i really hope this is Guide x Esper than an Esper x Guide but either way I'm okay with switches

edit: i think people forget that most of the time the first thing you put in such a tag is the top THEN the bottom in [top X bottom] naming sense so people would now what they're looking for.

just wanted to talk to people about the male leads lol

it's refreshing to see these type of male leads. ( and yes with the 's' and not just the main ML) but maybe because i havent been reading much lately but either way

first one is the emperor. you see the emperor there but he's not exactly in love with her, he just finds things interesting esp when her demeanor changed and she all of a sudden has this hidden power but over all not exactly a fully in love male lead that we tend to see like other stories that ignore mls and they suddenly like her for some reason ???
(and also has some sort of backstory ooooo) "heavy lies the head that wears the crown"

and then there's rohan. who seems to be interested in her or at least cares about our mc BUT prioritizes his loyalty to the crown and more specifically to the emperor himself. there were no super sad farewell, one last meet/talk and crying & writing letters like in other novels as a 2nd male lead.

he just straight up left hahaha since he's already deemed traitor and with no master he'll be trying to find a diff purpose ? (but i feel like both him and our mc has an understanding as to why he left idk

edit: ooof this was somewhat a good read but has a lot of loopholes. sadly author didnt dive deep with the tidbits they sprinkled all throughout the story.

I'm loving all the topics relating to the emperor cause it seems like there's so much more to it. but anyways

I'll also be rereading this manga cause damn i feel like i forgot a lot of what's happening here but somewhat kinda happy that they're happy at least

soo many people are also confused as I am. so i tried going to the spoiler forum for the novel. and since i didnt read the novel directly, take it with a grain of salt
and hopefully novel readers here would help me explain or correct me hahaha

basically there is 1 main timeline (the first one)
and 2 alternate timelines

so that i dont see people complaining or getting confused with timelines. imagine it like this:

after they died in the main timeline (aka 1st storyline)
the souls of aeroc and kloff went in an alternate timeline

for the 1st Alternate timeline (the 2nd storyline, if confused) aeroc remembers the main timelime and kloff doesn't (only in his dreams) from what I've read imo this has the better ending than the rest of the stories (novel readers go at me cause i really didnt read it hahaha help)

for the 2nd Alternate timeline (3rd story)
kloff is now the one who remembers the main timeline and aeroc doesn't (i think they still end up together but for kloff it was bittersweet and not a super happy sweet ending but idk. novel readers hope you can expound on it more hahaha)

from what I've seen in the spoiler forum the imprint they did in the main timelime (1st story) affects them in both alternate timelines cause they're souls are connected i guess. so even if the other person doesnt remember, it's like they're mates of some sort

so you'd be seeing kloff getting hurt or affected when he gets rejected by aeroc
(i think it was already explained here in the story but in this omegaverse, alphas are the ones getting hurt physically or emotionally(?) when their mate rejects them)

and there's this theory that even without what happened in the main timeline (aka with the medicine) aeroc would still become an omega either way and the medicine just made it happen quicker (??)
but hey this last one is just a conspiracy theory
