I can't believe the mangaka really had to audacity to to put in the line "To dump you just because you are a student is very rude to you"

hunterx2 January 13, 2019 6:49 pm

I've read oneshots with more character development. Seiichiro especially was just... nothing.

Oh god I thought I was the only one who felt this way

I think it's a wide area between rape tropes/feminine ukes/masculine emotionally void semes and this manga, whose characters were essentially Daria without the funny. acerbic wit

It was a cute little story but for as long as it was, not much happened. You can have light fluffy manga without making the characters lifeless.

I've got to agree with you. The characters were bland, which made me feel like I could not care any less about them. A reader needs emotional investment... well, this reader does. It was cute, sure, but so is "See Dick and Jane" and this manga had the same depth. Also, does this really qualify as yaoi? I saw the tip of a dick (censored to boot) and a bare ass. Everything else was implied. I guess the dick makes it yaoi, but just barely. Without that frame, we were firmly in shounen ai territory.

It was this authors first story so there is and should be a lot of room for improvement. The plot was interesting but the author left loose ends. The art was good but I hope the artist can work on adding a few more distinguishing characteristics. Sometimes, I was confused as to who I was looking at. Lastly, character development was a bit lacking. We learned a lot about Wooyeon but Taeho's story is mostly told to us through exposition. That being said, it's amazing how likable Taeho is when we know so little about him.

It's a story with nice art, fun characters, and an interesting premise but it also could have been better. I look forward to this artists next story.

There are a lot of trash semes but mangakas usually try to make sure that they at least are enduring in some way. The way this story plays out, any artist of equal skill would have been enough to make the uke fall in love. With that in mind, most other artists wouldn't have raped the uke. They would have just used art to say "notice me senpai". No reason for anyone to feel for or like the seme so it's hard to like a story where he is endgame.

Uke didn’t like him just for his art skills though.

The part with the manager was easily the most touching thing I've seen in a manga PERIOD. Someone saw that he was not where he used to be emotionally. They took him aside, got him a nice, warm, healthy meal and asked him how he was doing. No strings attached. They aren't trying to sleep with him. They don't want his money. They don't need a favor. They just gave him some good old human warmth and companionship because they care about HIM. And he needed that.

Wish there are more people like that, who really "see you" ...

    Kinamara November 29, 2018 3:42 am

*sob* I know right?! That scene was seriously touching ╥﹏╥

    Arc December 10, 2018 3:50 pm

That is something that you rarely see in a yaoi manga.

hunterx2 November 11, 2018 12:09 am

honestly, its been so long. I don't really remember the story for these side characters.

hunterx2 November 9, 2018 8:51 pm

I'm mad that Banri was so sad that he was crying, like legit crying, standing in the cold with his hands in cold water. Then the reason why he was in that very situation walks in and Banri's like "Why are you so nice to me sometimes?"

HE PUT YOU THERE!!!

hunterx2 November 7, 2018 1:34 am

Mediocre characters to be honest.

There are a lot of manga of all types. A lot have dubcon/rape scenes. The real reason most people don't mind? They like the characters. People like Usagi. TPeople like Hide. Tsurugi just kind of... is.

He's probably the reason he was fired to begin with. Then he went out and started whispering into Wonyoung's ear so that Wonyoung would always go to him instead of the correct channels.

The artist is fantastic. Everything about this whole manhwa, visually, is stunning. There is not a single bad frame of art. The characters, the color palettes, the backgrounds. A masterpiece.

I agree! I just love taking in the drawings and coloring and shading that they give us, it's amazing (≧∀≦)
