until he threatened prostituting Jiwook, the blackmail in the form of the picture really didn't feel that substantial to me, he got drugged and raped, sharing a picture of that is just admitting to the crime. there is just lack of anything actually fueling his original compliance, prior to chapter 19 clearly.
it's looking like porn with plot so ik my standards can't be high but I would still prefer there to actually be something on the line.
for some men, a lot of the time suffering abuse is like the better alternative to having the fact that you were abused go public. It's like a pride thing; better be hurt behind closed doors than let people know you are "weak". Its a very toxic and unfortunately common mindset, which is why male victims of SA are less likely to report it. An unfortunately realistic aspect of the story so far, imo
Also worth noting this is happening in South Korea, where reputation and social perception are everything. Even if someone’s a victim, once your name is ‘smeared,’ it sticks for life — whether it was your fault or not. That’s a huge part of why victims, especially men, might not report — the shame, the public judgment, the permanent stain. It’s not like in more liberal societies where there’s at least some cultural push toward believing victims or giving second chances.
I think you not know the uke is actually have internalized homophobia and misogynistic, he did what he did to the seme when he was kid cuz he was feminine and even now he still fascinated by the seme pale skin and cute features and he use to look down on other people and he very violent and when that guy was lusting over him it triggered his anger cuz he actually used to be twink like when he was kid and gang members used to lust over him that where his homophobia first shaped when he was minor, and he not smart it's implied through out the novel/story that he have simple mind and not very bright and have violent tendency
was for karlyle to tell ash "I wanted to propose" (after all that) and with ash going "omg yes" following up with a simple "I don't want to anymore" imagine the hurt, imagine the comfort, imagine the potential character development.
but alas, the side stories are lacking and I think I am also getting onto the train of pretending they do not exist.
I am so speechless from how good this manhwa was. I can't believe it's even possible for a BL manhwa to actually have this many characters be attended to as well as let them develop. I genuinely don't think I've ever read anything similar to this and it might just be the best manhwa I have ever read.
You can really tell that the author had the story properly planned, it didn't feel rushed or anything, I am just so impressed. A really beautiful manhwa, I am very happy I read it all.
I don't understand what's up with antagonizing a lesbian. why is it such a common trope to have a woman as the big evil in a bl main couple's life like come on. even worse off with her being a lesbian, they should be besties or at the very least on speaking terms with each other, this just pains me.
I felt so betrayed when she became a mini villain for a bit there, I was rooting for lesbian bestie route and okay they made up in the end but like if she could be normal enough to be friends in the end then what was up with all the shit stirring for a bit there
ALSO SAME they’re such random ass tattoos for the dumbest reason, and I can’t believe the brother didn’t even talk him out of it and just went along with his overnight whim ToT bro you were supposed to be rational and look out for him he was literally planning to work in child care and development ToT

I'm on ch6 and cringing hard, is it worth the time?
yes it’s so so good
Nah, I dropped it. There is not a single aspect can be loved in those characters.
