There's still that figure kafka saw while training. And tbh, he needs to train more rather than just get suddenly OP'ed and kill 9. That villain is a BEAST plus he got to eat the head. So killing him after a few chps seems.... underwhelming given the amount of training 8 did and how he has yet to unlock his full potential both as a kaijuu and as a human.

For some odd reason I want #9 to kind of like win, but our guy becomes like one of the last people alive but he can't go back to his human form but he's like looked for other humans so he becomes OP from fighting all these monsters and it ends with him being the only one left, maybe some of the troops, and all the monsters are finally gone and it ends like that. Idk, just my imagination.
Ooo that's interesting. I feel there is indeed a possibility of kafka being trapped as a kaiju maybe because of the extent of strength he had to use to fight/defeat 9 which would result to him overusing that kaiju side of him and not being able to return as a human.
As to everyone dying and kafka being the only one alive, I think that would be a difficult route to take in the story as we have been introduced w/ kaiju weapons and only particular people being able to use them. So that side of the story requires a human aspect. W/o humans, the author would be abandoning that plot and focusing more on kaiju vs kaiju fights. Which is kind of a loss due to all that training the troops did to master their own weapons.
BUT instead of people dying, maybe kafka runs away and finds more kaiju like him? Like if he gets trap as a kaiju and is unable to control himself so he decides to just go away or something OR he gets abducted into the kaiju lair. Or at least exposed to it. Which helps him find out more about them etc etc or something.
Honestly, so long as the author doesnt give this story an abrupt end, he could give us a lot of mindblowing routes and plots. This story has a LOT of potential for some many plot twists and story arcs, I just hope they do it right. I'm not ready for this to end THAT fast w/o everything being explained

What if your theory is what actually happened to the first human that turned kaiju?
The man becomes a kajiu. He gets trapped. Then everyone dies around him because of the other kaijus. He tries to look for other humans around his area but he kept seeing monsters and fighting them, hence the growing hatred for kaiju.
I think the fly saying "I found you" to kafka, him saying "Kaiju... Kill" during the fight w/ director, the figure during training. Kafka's 0% initial power, all have an explanation to them. And maybeeeee, a small possibility that all of them are connected hmmmmmmm

Well actually he does have a fucked up past compared to Ilay. Ilay was born a psycho he didn’t have anything that caused him to be that way, Zhenya was created due to the circumstances. He had a kill or be killed mindset at age 6. We won’t see it get drawn until awhile but I’m not excusing either or. Both are unhinged and the only reason why they “softened up” is because they come to care for their partners. It gets better however we about to see a whole bunch of fucked up shit that makes you question yourself and put your phone down for several days questioning what the fuck you just read. I don’t want to give any spoilers though so I’m trying to keep it very broad.
