Why is Curtis angry?
It's probably because he doesn't want Winston to find out she's on her period. She was pregnant with the snakes a few months before, meaning Winston already knows she had her one period of the year as all females do in this world. So if he finds out she's having it again so soon, it would mean trouble for her (not that I think he would tell anyone to begin with). But I also think since it's Curtis taking the initiative here, he doesn't want Winston to find another reason to have her as his mate because Curtis is controlling like that. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

It was inevitable, it could nevr work out between a human and a human heart eating mermaid. And the story is pretty logical and realistic, people have slain their father, siblings, children, wife, etc. or scheme/manipulate against them to ascent the throne all the time, and evn if the legal heir is the ruler, they always have to look out for greedy officials beneath them, assassins, etc; so, u can't be a ruler without having ur hand tainted with blood, and besides Merin was caught red handed, and she was a thread to the people of that country, so her elimination was needed, if not, had he looked the other way, and excused her behavior, then more and more people would die, and it would still come a time she had to be eliminated, and altho I don't like 2nd prince here, I don't hate him either and to be a ruler, u don't mix urself with emotions.
This author is def not experienced in the body department, their bodies look so weird, too broad and too meaty and the thighs are so weird. Looks like she only know how to draw faces.
Maybe they just thicc af. I personally enjoy all types of art but ultimately its the story that matters. And as a person who struggles to draw hands in particular this is damn well drawn
