i understand the score now after catching up. i think it's complicated to define what love is for ML bc of the lore as a dragon that relies on their mate for any emotional capacity like love. i'm trying to understand that in order to accept ML's love for FL. but also maybe im bitter and petty bc i don't think ML has redeemed himself even 50% yet. not that i want him to give up his life for her, but his aggressive assault-like persistence does not count as redemption.
i get ML's desperate to grasp at anything like her loyalty for the people, but i wish there were more moments for him to understand her as an individual and not someone tied down to fate and duties as a mate. i think redemption was only possible due to close proximity, fate as dragon and mate, and FL's conflicting feelings of hurt and love. i'd say the score is valid ngl... maybe 9.0
