I read the novel of this manhwa and I can't say that Lyle is trying hard to get. In the novel, there are really ton of informations that hasn't been told in the manhwa. Especially on their first meeting about this whole sex therapy thingy, Ash's reason to agree on helping Lyle about his sexual problem wasn't at all good. Plus, they had a bad past. Alas they actually had a bad first impression! In the manhwa Lyle seems to be hard to get, but it just because he's in doubt whether Ash is feeling the same thing with him. In the novel, the explanations were so detail. Ash agreed to help Lyle because Nick (Kyle's husband) is the one who asked for it. And Nick is Ash's ex, and Ash is pretty much still in love with him on the beginning of the story. And Lyle knows about this fact. And is kinda making him insecure. That Ash is doing all of it because his love for Nick and not for actually wanna help him and to get to know him. And yes, Ash is generous but he's not really that good on the few first chapters on the novel

omg thanks for sharing that actually makes their rs and misunderstandings at the start a bit more clearer. I was always very confused by ash and his actions and just thought that lyle was just a super guarded person

Not only he's guarded coz this is his first time with an Alpha, he's actually has low self esteem, he also wanna see whether Ash remember their kiss at the new year eve 6 years ago, which Ash didn't remember. Lyle has been unable to forget Ash since the beginning, but the view of fall in love is so foreign to him he's hesitate so much. Adding that Ash keeps mentioning that he's here because of Nick's request, Lyle being guarded NOT to fall even deeper is just make more sense.

You're welcome!! Ash's reason is not entirely bad per se, but it's not good either. There's one chapter full of Ash's POV when meeting with Nick about the agreement. And the main reason of why he's helping Lyle is because "as long as it's make you happy Nick, I'll do it for you. Whatever that is". Coz well, he's still in love with Nick. And if you wondered why Lyle agree to do it with Ash even tho they had a bad past is because one, to make sure whether Ash is remember their kiss and two, to keep Ash in arm length and keep him away from Nick and Kyle relationship. You see, Lyle is never doing something for himself, always for someone else. It's because he has a low self esteem. That's why when Ash and Lyle started dating, Ash is oftenly said something like "tell me what you think" "tell me what's on your mind" "thank you for telling me what you actually feel" because Lyle is not familiar with opening about himself.

I wish I could have read the book all I could do was get spoilers from NU. From them I think ash remembers the event but never saw Lyle's face due to lighting. One of the reasons he could agree to be with an Alpha was that event.

Yes, it's actually true! He remember kissing someone at that night, also the name of the person. He just didn't connected the dot that the Lyle that kissing him back there was the Lyle that he's with right now

I feel like this would be best read if you have already read the novel. It feels more like it is showing the important scenes without the narration.
