I get that he has a tragic backstory... but there was just something about him that made me feel like he was the worst asshole of all the Harlequin asshole MLs. I did not feel any sincerity from him. Rather it felt like he believed that he was entitled to everything, including getting Valentina back. Gah... it was just... annoying. Natalie’s story, while not perfect either, was much better than this debacle
I hate to say it, but I have seen a HELLUVA LOT worse in Harlequin. But for all intents and purposes, I agree. His "strictness" on how everyone "must be perfect" and how his comment on the sexual harassment being "fine" if she was interested in him too? Um... NO. BIG no. And am I the only one that thought he initially gave off a "Hey, I'm gonna knock a princess off my female conquests bingo card" type of vibe, for a while?
*Waiting for when things go wrong for the couple*
Pg. 5 - Me: Wait for it....
Pg. 20 - Me: Wait for it...
Pg. 90 - Me: Come on story... I know something is going to happen that it really put a wrench in things!
Pg. 110 - Me: Huh... Wow another Harlequin story with a relatively good couple with a good relationship
Pg. 112 - Me: THERE IT IS! I KNEW WE COULDN’T END THIS STORY WITHOUT SOMETHING RIDICULOUS HAPPENING TO THE COUPLE!!!
Hahaha
All in all wasn’t bad. Especially for this particular mangaka. Most of the Harlequin stories with this particular art style have really ridiculous couples. So I was overall pleased that this one wasn’t necessary about the couple overcoming relationship issues. Though it was a bit Disney Princess-ish in how fast the couple fell in love/got together.

I’m sad that the chapter ended before we could see the full extent of the ML’s reaction, it would have been the icing on the cake
ONE HUNDRED PERCENT AGREED TT_TT If they show his reaction in the next chapter tho omg that would be great.
