I dont think he was playing games. I think the top was driven crazy with lust and was assaulting him because only from his POV at first was the bottom enjoying sex but as we slowly saw more of the bottoms view he was no enjoying it, especially when the top was saying "he doesnt smile at me, he asks me to stop" but I think at the end the bottom went to test him because he wanted to be loved but when he obviously wasn't he was happy to have the gifts from the death because he was safe again at night
