It's just I've been thinking of this as the possibility why Lou's mother fell so "easily", as she was dragon with magic of her own and seeing Lou she must have been powerful herself if he inherited her power) and I just want that b*** of that uncle's "queen consort" to receive some nasty punishment, and I've thought that since she's so obsessed with her "king", her finding out something like that would really serve her well...

Nah fam, you wrote it fine, I was being stupid. Tbh I don't think that bit*h of a Queen actually cares that much about the a*shole of a King.. she seems to care more about his power and status. So something that happenned in the past and poses no threat to her would probably be nothing to her.
Aso, about Lou's mother, the a*shole King said that she didn't want to hurt her baby, and so she couldn't attack him because of that.. he probably cornered somewhere where she couldn't fly away.. that sly worm （/TДT)/

Yeah, the characters for Qingdi say "green (or azure/blue and sometimes black I think) emperor" but I'm pretty sure in English we would just say "green" because of his dominion over plants and gardens, right? And qing di said out loud is a homophone for 'love rival' which is honestly pretty hilarious.

Lol, "love rival" hahaha, really? I thought Qingdi was overprotective of lil' flower because he saw him as his adoptive child (since lil' flower kinda looked like a baby back when Qingdi tried to stop Ao Gu from going inside some room and interrupting Lil' flower's cultivation). But maybe Lil' flower had also been an adult who'd been turned into a child, like AoAo once was, for whatever reason...

Qingdi does seem almost parental, right? I think the 'love rival' thing is meant as a joke, and I'm like... 95% convinced by their interactions that Qingdi is Grandpa's brother or some other relative, but I'm not *totally* sure. Going by the theme of brotherly love in the story, their being brothers would make sense. But then, tragically separated lovers or an awkward father-son relationship would also make sense in this narrative. I believe you're right about Li'l Flower having been an adult previously--it really looks like he was actually a god who 'fell' for some reason, doesn't it? At this point, my guess would be, he died in the battle with the previous demon king? Or maybe he did something really naughty and got flung out of heaven? The latter option is pretty exciting but I can't imagine what that sweet Li'l Flower could have done wrong!

And then Qingdi--who possibly has just as big of a Brother Complex as Ao Gu (LOL)--brought Li'l Flower/Hosta God back to life, or back from the brink of death, at the cost of a heck of a lot of chi and maybe even a heavenly punishment, to grow up again in a little jade pot in his bedroom. That could explain why Li'l Flower 'smells' so much like Qingdi--he's literally made out of Qingdi. As we've seen, a brother can be just as much a hindrance to one's love life as any other more obvious rival, heh. I am pretty sure Qingdi would position himself squarely between Li'l Flower and any, say, big doofy dragons who come sniffing around. After seeing the wreck Ao Gu made of Dr. Sun's garden, I can't say as I blame him for being protective. He lost track of Li'l Flower for a while and when he finds him he's even knocked up?? The outrage. (≧∀≦)

I'm dying to know how Li'l Flower ended up flower-napped and dumped in the wilderness. Did Ao Gu steal him and then (with heavenly intervention) forget all about him? Or did Qingdi enlist Dr. Sun's help to secret the wee fairy somewhere safe from prying eyes? Was it a plot involving half the cast?? Haha I just can't guess.

... that Ryan/Jifeng is the Demon King the heavenly folk subdued or defeated a long time ago? As in, the deities and dragons captured and confined the Demon King's powers or his essence or whatever, and later sealed it inside Ao Yue with the intention of destroying it forever. So then, Jifeng-the-cultivator was the busted-down Demon King and he was wandering around searching for his demon powers, and when he met Xuan Yue he found them and was able to take them back. But he fell in love with Xuan Yue, and Xuan Yue gave his dragon pearl to Jifeng at some point (to save his life I presume), and once Jifeng got his demon powers back he became unable to resist his evil urges and captured Xuan Yue and broke his heart. Without his dragon pearl, Xuan Yue could not defend himself or escape, so he cast the curse which condemned them both. Then, instead of ruling the realms as the complete Demon King, Jifeng used up his entire lifetime's cultivation to restore Xuan Yue's soul, and his punishment for defying the wheel of fate was to end up as a little black dragon on a mountain far away, having to grow up all over again (similar to Ao Yue/Ao Ao growing up again without a dragon pearl) with no memory of what happened.

Then Ao Gu and Dr. Sun tacked Ao/Xuan Yue's soul (missing the heart Xuan Yue had taken the precaution of eliminating) back together with the soul needle, and Ao Gu was punished for going against the Wheel of Fate's decree that Ao Yue would die as the demon's soul vessel. And maybe that punishment was an episode of memory loss, and that's why he doesn't remember his actual first meetings with Grandpa? I don't know if Dr. Sun got punished too, or if his involvement was not noticeable enough.

And that means all the heavenly folk and dragon kind know that something weird happened with the Eastern Dragon King's family, and there are rumors and such, like how the family ended up with another baby (Ao Ao) so long after the queen died. "Didn't the Eastern Dragon King and his family try to defy the wheel of fate?" Etc. etc.. So everyone stayed away, believing something was really hinky with Ao Ao (well, they are right in a way). Which makes Li'l Fish extra heroic for being Ao Ao's friend and wanting to protect him! Aww. (≧∀≦)

Oh, that definitely could be it, it would be great if it turned out Ryan/Xiao Jifeng was some kind of powerful baddie that turned "good" out of love, awwwww! I think it's possible since you definitely understand this story a lot more than me, as I don't know much beyond what is posted here and what I have been able to "guess" based on what I've learned from reading Xianxia and other Chinese fiction. Anyway, I hope you're right because then Ryan would have another layer of hidden awesomeness, hehe.

I think I'm a little obsessed with this story! Haha. I started wondering, what if Ryan/Jifeng/Demon King is actually trying to set things right--at least, from his own perspective, and he set things in motion a long time ago. And it's sorta like a mystery story, in which we're getting the clues out of order and 'edited' to only show things from one angle. Like how we were told the Black Dragon was evil and ended up banished, but it turns out it was Ao Yue and he actually destroyed himself because of a broken heart? Etc. etc.

I don't have much experience with Xianxia, but from what little I do know about Chinese dragons, the fact that Ao Ao's dragon scale armor is not complete might have something to do with his problems obtaining his form, correct? Ryan has one of the scales, right? Presumably the one Dragon King Dad knocked off in order to seal the Demon Aura into Ao Yue. If Ao Ao gets this scale back, he might be able to complete his dragon armor!

Yeah, I am so hoping Ryan as Amnesiac Demon King is going to repair the damage of the past. This story is already so romantic it almost makes me have a cardiac event, LOL. I can't stand Romantic Yearning Demon King, I will probably spontaneously combust!

I've been wondering if maybe when they met, Xuan Yue and Jifeng were attracted to each other for this reason. Jifeng/Demon King wants his demonic powers back, but then he falls in love with his soul vessel. Complicates things for the fellow!

And we keep hearing about 'past lives', but what if it was more like a rewind-restart thing instead. Same bodies, but the memory loss and rewinding make it almost like there are two souls inside Ryan. We've been shown how you get punished for going against the wheel of fate and that characters can trade their cultivation cores for saving others, so maybe... (=・ω・=)

So is the 1st name Ao yue or xuan yue? Is Ao Ao possessed by Ryan/jifeng and so all the dragon ppl decide to just trap him in Ao Ao? And I'm confused of how reincarnation works.... if he reincarnates does that mean all ppl around his life too??and if it's only him reincarnated, why are the dragons doesn't feel weird cuz they know Ao Ao is gone... and suddenly he's here again?? so explain REINCARNATION to me plz

To understand reincarnation from the point of view of this story, you need to understand that in Asian culture it is possible for a soul to be made up of smaller elements that sometimes are each called "souls" as well, even though they're technically "sub-souls", and it is also possible to SPLIT a soul, as a powerful individual who has "an old/evolved soul" can sometimes choose to split his soul into its smaller components, and each of these smaller components would then each temporarily become an independent "soul", being able to function well on their own, even though they'd lose the memory of when they where part of the bigger soul, and sometimes feel they're missing something. The individual components of each non-split individual soul, (which are called smaller "souls" but are technically "sub-souls" that form a bigger soul) could once have been the memories of the overall soul's previous life, which where stored in that particular sub.-soul, or they are just a part of the overall soul that is supposed to contain one of the souls' functions, like for example, the ability to feel a particular emotion or develop a particular trait (that's why sometimes the overall soul is made up of smaller souls called "the anger (sub)soul", "the wisdom (sub)soul", the love (sub)soul", etc.

And his real name is Ao Yue. "Xuan Yue" is the name that Ao Yue took when he was expelled from the palace and lost his memories of being Ao Yue, and "AoAo" is the new name that his older brother gave him after Xuan(Ao) Yue tried to commit suicide but got turned back into a baby. Also, if he reincarnates it doesn't mean all the people around him do it too, the other people need to die as well, and sometimes souls take a shorter or a longer time to reincarnate.

Honestly, the only part I cant fully understand is why did they use ao yue to conceal the demon's spirit and who the hell is jifeng, like wasnt he the demon king?? And you JUST ANSWERED IT. One thing is that what tragedy happened between their past selves and you just fit the pieces once again!
