That aside, Brian is so much more palatable to us readers.. he’s fussy, headstrong, and courageous to a fault.. The thing is that his demeanor has never really changed. He's sweet to his queen and those that are on his side. I think a king should have some backbone and be able pass on judgement without wavering. Otherwise if you're too nice to everyone you might get backstabbed for it at some point.
