It just left a bitter taste for me. I know the mc was taken advantage of completely and that is truly so sad that that was the outcome. I want to reread but at the same time, I am scared af bruh. I've had this in my list for so long. Finally read this and getting it over with.
I think their relationship dynamic was nice. Neither were giving in and both were head strong about their needs. I like it.

The whole plot itself was okay. Lot of business jargon idk about but the storyline was still follow-able. Considering all the stakes they went through, the ending was kinda....meh? Like that's it? Sure they got what they wanted outa the business but the bad guy is still here? But I guess that's just reality, especially for the top 1% rich people with connection. sometimes the best you can get is a ruined reputation but they still get to walk free.

So anyway, just gonna put it here that the mc does get sexually assaulted later in the story. He ends up drinking and got drugged, and was forced to give the main antagonist a blowjob, while another mob character was sucking mc off too.
The ml does get rough with mc a few times throughout the story as well. ml treats mc like a slut too. Although mc doesnt really sleep around that much, so it's just ml's misunderstanding based off mc not correcting him. mc keeps egging him on too tho cuz mc is pissed for being reduced to some slut.
When ml found out about the sexual assault mentioned up there, he began blaming mc??? He was pissed mc chose the path he did and got attacked? And mc was also in the midst of accepting his feelings, claiming in any other scenario he would have fcked the antagonist? But he didnt cuz he ddint want ml to abandon him if he found out??? mc dared ml to check his ass to see he didn't fuck nobody, to which ml almost did, but was like "why would I be happy to see your used hole"??? (implying it dont matter if he fucked or not, he's still a slut). Idk that whole confrontation was.....fucked up, for sure. That was sorta the only time I was taken aback a bit and thought, tf is this dude on about, YOUR MAN WAS ASSAULTED, STFU and stop berating him. Even if you thought he was a slut, why in the world would you think he will willingly get drunk to the point of acute intoxication and fck a guy? Use your brain, not your jealousy.
