If you really are in love with your partner then you shouldn't be ashamed of their gender. You should be proud of your sexuality and I understand not wanting others to know if you're nervous, but don't take your wedding ring off. That is very disrespectful and if I had a girlfriend or a wife id be extremely hurt if she took of her ring. Just tell people you're married and don't talk about gender. Unfortunately some people will put others down because of who they love, which is disgusting.
