It's about how the male lead is usually domineering and unaproachable, manipulating the situation to bring the female lead closer. And then the female lead forgives him every time! (except she turns into a steriotipical tsundere with the mentality of a little girl and never wants to talk it out like a proper adult)
My question is Would you date a guy like that and love him to this extent? Because it doesn't matter how much I like a guy, if I find out he deliberatly lied to me about something important, or manipulated me, I can't trust him. And if I can't trust him how can we have a relationship?
Also WHY IS THIS GENRE SO PREVALENT?? I mean once in a blue moon I find a good one where the female lead gets to have a backbone until the end and stays mature enough to have reasonable fights and discutions with the male lead, but they are super rare.
This might be because I'm already an adult and from a very diferent cuture, but I don't want a guy that will take care of everything for me, I want a guy that trusts me enough to take care of everything with me.
