Japanese has it as “ 愛憎不足” which is lack of love and hate.

Also, Hangyum at the wrong time in chapter 40 said everything but he overheard Hajin say it. He talks vague but he does communicate. This will show in the next chapter as well. Does not help that Hajin appears to be too dense. We see they are not communicating but they don’t realize there are issues. They don’t communicate because they don’t realize the issues. If they don’t know something is wrong the can’t properly communicate.

I’d understand if it was the type where cliff was like “I’ll wait for you to become legal” cause those types of relationships are iffy to me personally. But I’m pretty sure cliff is in his 40s and Ed is in his 20s? I could be wrong but they’re both legal so i don’t see a problem.
The artist did an end of season chapter where she shows the ages. It showed that Cliff is 37 and Edward is 25. It's chapter 57.1 if you want to take a look.
