Even tho everyone says the smut scenes aren't relevant to the story, in the Case of king's maker, the scene seem to be very relevant. Because readind without th em felt like the story had been cut off
yeah cause they were there in the original version. for alot of korean webtoons arent pure smut but rather very plotty with the occasional heavily explicit scene. in order to get a wider viewership (esp cause korean censorship wrt sexual content and age restriction codes are Very intense) will ALSO have a revised edition available. sometimes at the same time or it will come out later. its not usually the creator that revises the story but an editor that works on the publishing platform (ofc i assume the author is ok with it when it happens its a thing that can only help them since their original work isnt altered). there's alot of webtoons like this. a good chunk of them seem to have found a home on tappytoon for english releases. if u ever go on bomtoon and read one of these without ur age restriction lifted, u will have panels halved or missing. cause its not like the author can just skip chpts but it needs to be considered Age Appropriate content. so if tis a chpt with alot of sex or salacious content then it will be chopped up and edited to hell. its fine if people prefer this version but the people saying this version is somehow better and the one with sex aka the ORIGINAL material is cheapening the story with sex is...idgi. esp when its not random sex scenes but sex scenes between the main characters whose love story seems to be a central part of the premise? like...(i was curious why the first series of King Maker, the one before Triple Crown sequel series, didnt have the R18 rating and it turns out thats cause the characters are like Children so ofc there was no full on sex scenes! now they grown ass men in love let them fuck!)
