I beg you guys to use your remaining brain cells, and look up the word grooming. Is the past relationship between the main character and love interest, fucking weird and problematic. Bet your ass it is. But no grooming was involved, main character was literally just raising him and hoping to marry him off, so he can have a good life.

Look, I get what you’re saying. He’s not intentionally grooming him, however, it’s still considered grooming. There’s a power dynamic that the adult is supposed to respect. He has authority over the other person. Regardless of the dragon’s actual age or the form he changed into. He’s extremely immature, and I hate the fact that they keep him acting that way. Like “oh, my wee wee feels weird”. In fact, he does intentionally groom him afterwards when he becomes the person to teach him about sex, even if the dragon pushed him into it. He has the responsibility in that dynamic to put boundaries. The fact that their dynamic and their relationship was that of parenting and authority turned into sexual and marriage, is grooming point blank period.
