Ah yo brother, my cmt is not for 'i love u' . It's for uke's overall personality. He can say his conditions on the first time and mend the relationship but instead he suddenly broke up with ML and indirectly cause his amnesia. Even after all that, he still doesn't catch ML first, he waits for ML to go for him. I have nothing about 'i love u' thing.
To be fair uke didn’t actually direct seme to fall off that cliff, he had no idea it would happen and didn’t intend for it to. Him falling off was nobody’s fault except perhaps the person in the race who shoved him. Either way, seme did make the choice to drink before driving in a dangerous sport, even if he was in a mentally bad state. Furthermore, in situations where traumatic experiences can overlap with current relationships, it can be extremely stressful, and it is common for someone to end said relationship rather than try to fix it. It’s a completely normal, albeit slightly selfish reaction to any similar situation, and I doubt uke did it to purposefully hurt seme. He simply couldn’t express his love and was put under pressure from seme to do so. In reality, while both of the characters are unstable, they both wish the best for each other and the relationship, which is a good quality.
