I don't think it's demon in the literal sense, more that the religion of the region sees the dark night people as being a threat and therefore they are "demons". She was clearly heavily brainwashed by the religion that sees the dark night people as heretics to be destroyed, so she wants her mother destroyed at all cost, and her father protecting her mother and punishing her for hating her made her hate him too. I think in her mind she sees them both as legitimately demons and is terrified of them.
Plus people think her mother brainwashed her dad that's why she believes her dad is being used
