I feel like the Duke deliberately scapegoated her so his kids wouldn’t realize that all that shit went down because he cheated, randomly brought an affair child home with no warning, and then got caught abusing her. He’s lowkey slick for convincing everyone that her powerless existence created, moved around, and controlled by him is what ruined everything, and not his betrayal that caused her to be born
Tbh I disagree with the part about how she was an “affair” kid bc the Duke was raped but yeah everything else you said was right
