That's what I got through MTL is kinda hard to understand since some parts of the grammar I can't comprehend and apparently the FL just call the duke dad/father because she doesn't wanna see him sad.. so daaamn cutee
Re-reading this manga and it's one of my favorites. I really love the seme and definitely the uke. Unlike other ukes who get swept by the seme this uke literally search the "HOW TO DO IT" unlike any other stories where they just go fvck ahead and it wasn't awkward when the mangaka had put that part.
I love how honest he is in his feelings. I mean I really love the fact that this manga has sorta slice of life vibe because firstly they both develop their feelings properly and I love how gentle the seme is, I love how the uke thinks properly for himself.
I'm back again to re-read this and I've re-read this a million times and I still cry for this manga. When I first read this I wasn't expecting that but damn it made me bawl so muuuuuuch.

This manhwa ain't really my cup of tea, so I'll be honest I got bored half way through the chapter 30+..
I meant the whole concept was a great idea and all but I was a bit disappointed on how it came out. The things I love is even though their are rivalry among the girls unlike other stories where their underhanded, this girls in the manhwa is fighting fair and square. I also like the MCs personality but it just became like a historical modern TV show where they get eliminated in games but the game here is quite boring (doesn't feel like a game for like more on political problems).
It would have been great it they made it more fun and interesting like a game where ladies are being tested on how to be a proper crown princess. Something like showing their talents, their perspective and the way they cope with problems like they make unexpected events and these ladies show how great they are. It could be swordsmanship, embroidery or huge accomplishments that I haven't mentioned.
In this story it feels like the highlights is being eliminated, problems of the imperial family, public opinions and seems like a concept of gossip about how people see the candidates.
We have different taste so someone might love this but it really ain't for me. Anyway it was still a good read in the first few chapters.
You didnt miss much tbh. The last couple of chapters were so rushed and the story ended in a blink of an eye. The story became flat for quite a while now. It's obv that the writer didn't have more idea or passion for the story, bc-- (SPOILER)

First off he just literally drag her without explaining anything to the kid and be like "I'm your parent your now under my roof live like a dead rat somewhere near my palace" he was literally treating her like nothing in the first chaps. I get that he feeds her 3 meals a day and having a bed is great but his parenting is not really great.. And I don't really like how just because he suddenly out of nowhere became a bit kind to her because he taught her the ancient language meant he suddenly cared for her. Everyone keeps on hating Daniel but I pretty much like him because of how the story goes..
First of all they both didn't fell in love in an instant they may look like they are flirting or intimate but they see each other as merely friends as of now. Our MC just fan girl too much about him because she already said she's her TYPE..
Anyway I love how they SLOWLY fell in love and everyone says the way Daniel had planned to kill was really not great, it was the Crown Prince order and he didn't kill her instantly he observes her and decided not to kill her. I love how they had CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT both the Crown prince and Daniel.. Ariel isn't a bad character either they still ended up together with the CP and she's friends with our MC.
