What's the point of it being in omegaverse, when couples are just going to end up infertile/not able to conceive... Wouldn't the plot be exactly like a regular story with two semes trying to figure who tops? Even the mating season could just be switched out with the effect of some aphrodisiac on the regular gay couples. The whole point of omegaverse is to create a fantasy where guys can make actual babies together. Why would an alphaxbeta couple be more interesting than any usual yaoi story? We have plenty of those. Alphaxomega is the unique theme.

1. The things that excites about these tropes is that during ruts/heats they uncontrollably crave the opposite dynamics which betas or people of same dynamics are not able to properly satisfy but they both still try because they love each other so much.
2. And the society too expect alphas and omegas to be together and create babies and I find the other pairs being together kind of similar to how situations are irl regarding same sex relationships.
3. I'm kind of tired to seeing authors releasing BLs with the same trope of super twinky submissive bottoms and huge tops for decades so it's kind of nice they are seeing how heteronormative some of those stories felt. I still see comments asking how is the small one in the relationship the top like that's impossible and how they look somehow matters.
4. Alphas/omegas leaving their scent on betas while they have no clue about it or being clueless about situations are also fun.
5. The agnst when the partner is anxious that their partner would leave them for another alpha/omega because they want children or things will be easier for them is also nice.
6. In an alpha x omega dynamic, the omega topping is also fun bit sadly I've only found around 3 which have that.
I'll say that I kind of got what you were trying to say but the way you worded those sentences actually made me so uncomfortable. Even if it's omegaverse the story is still yaoi as in two men in a relationship, babymaking being the only reason for male characters being together in this whole genre feels awful.
