There is nothing wrong with being poly. If you’re in that type of relationship it’s because the people apart of it consented. The problem is Lucas saying the people on the news were over reacting with the man who cheated on his wife.
Just because you’re ok with having multiple partners doesn’t mean others feel the same. You can’t just say, you shouldn’t make a big deal out of being cheated on. Polyamory is NOT the same as someone cheating on you.
Now, he’s in a new country. He might not know that they don’t really do that in Japan. But Mako did state that cheating is bad. Lucas responded with he’s Poly & that it’s not something to make a big deal out of. Which is essentially disregarding the emotions of the woman who got cheated on & Makos thoughts on the matter.
I honestly really hope they talk about their relationship because Mako does not seem that ok with a Poly relationship.
Ughh againn...HE didn't disregard the wife or something he just thought that the media was over reacting (he even said did he murder someone?). Then the uke stated cheating is bad then the seme said "i'm polygamous" (MEANING he doesn't have any idea what the affects are so he has no idea that cheating was bad). Then the uke had a misunderstanding that maybe their relationship would be polygamous. AND JUST BECAUSE HIS POLYGAMOUS DOESNT MEAN THEIR RELATIONSHIP ARE. He's just friendly towards the girls who are friendly towards him (he even asked the uke for permission/asked him to join him hang out).

A poly relationship & a non poly one aren’t the same. Poly is consensual, cheating isn’t.
he said he's poly to reassure the uke that he didn't have any idea that cheating needs to have an effect of having a media outcome/attention like someone getting murdered. He didn't state that to justify cheating, but the uke had a diff idea of it in which he though their relationship will be poly. Which is not true clearly stated by the seme at the end. (just because he believes in polygamy doesn't mean their relationship will be.) The over all conclusion was that Japan and Masaai tribe has drastically diff meaning about love, and that both partners need to understand and accept. SO when Luca said were you jealous it means he now knows mako wants a monogamous relationship. And when mako got jealous it means he has no other to choice to accept that their relationship will be poly because he accepts Luca's beliefs (but he misunderstood all Luca's intentions)

He’s in a different country, the views aren’t gonna be the same. He can’t apply his country’s norm to a different one. So again him saying it’s not a big deal to cheat just because he’s Poly isn’t ok(whether it’s on TV or not). Poly & cheating aren’t the same, he’s completely interchanging the two.
And Mako does have another choice, not date him. You can clearly tell he’s not uncomfortable with a poly relationship. Liking him or not. & just because Lucas brought up him being jealous doesn’t mean he’s gonna agree to a none poly relationship.
Lucas and Make never spoke anything about their relationship. Besides Lucas saying Mako was jealous, them doing it & now Mako having a hurt butthole. Their relationship is not fully defined.
