redhead dude is so smug, he's seriously irritating me. grow up and take responsibility for your actions instead of bullying others. if I had to guess how this is gonna go, sangwoo is gonna get sick/injured/otherwise breakdown because of this ongoing treatment/stress, and then redhead will feel bad and comfort him, help him, or....idk. it needs to be something big to redeem him in my eyes, though.
What a wonderful read, it's rare that I like both protagonists equally, but golden retriever seme and outwardly stoic, inwardly soft uke is totally my type. I also enjoyed that there was conflict, but it never felt prolonged or melodramatic. In any other story, you know Muyeong’s ex would’ve shown up to complicate things between him and Seonho, or his grandmother would’ve forced them to break up. I guess my one minor grievance is that I was kind of hoping to see Junseok apologize, or just...face any kind of consequence for his actions. I quite liked his character at the beginning and was shattered when he got in the accident, but the emotional manipulation was NOT okay. Using suicide as a means of control is not something you do to someone you claim to love, and I think Muyeong would’ve been totally justified in cutting him out of his life.
Aside from that, it was such a soft, compelling, satisfying story. The way they so openly expressed their love was immensely refreshing. This will definitely go down as one of my new favorites.
I have a deep sense of foreboding that Director Kang and Yiyoung aren't going to be on the same page here (or that Director Kang will convince himself he doesn't have romantic feelings...or at the very least pretend not to) and I want nothing more than those expectations to be subverted! this story has already fooled me once, and I'm more than happy for it to do so again. honestly, bring on the fluff!
I find this story so compelling because the three main protagonists are flawed but still likable. Taku's motives are highly questionable, Joowon's possessive streak is worrying, and then there's Haesoo, trampling over people's feelings to numb any trace of emotional unrest inside himself. Even so, I don't hate any of them (...yet). I don't know where my bias is leaning (maybe for them all to separate and do some soul searching lol), but I'm excited to see how the story progresses.

I loved this one. The exploration of trauma in this story is so well-conveyed. I imagine some will find it a frustrating read--especially the ending--but the path to recovery isn't linear, and he has to work on himself before he can be a good partner to someone else. To me it feels honest, poignant, and at the end of it all, hopeful.
