I'm still confused on why he didn't use his ability for the round. Like, yeah, you should hone your senses but that's like, best to do during training or any time other than the actual challenge itself. Secure your victory first before you get the leeway to have 'training' on the round.

The fights are so frustrating with so little payoff. With the way the MC was so confident pre-fight, you'd think he had more strategy than relying on buffs, potions and a shit load of luck and plot armor.
