I think his story deserves to been known internationally whether it would be the original novel or the manga adaptation since it has a good message that he has been through a lot but it was all worth it just to meet the love of his life...

By sharing his experiences it gives comfort and tells you that you aren't struggling alone especially to the LGBTQ+ youths who are confused and thinking they aren't normal even though what they do is all natural...

I would totally buy the manga or book once it's hopefully published in English

So apparently Director Kang's rival will be his own younger brother, who is an orthopedic surgeon ( a bone doctor if you know what I mean Ahahahaha) but I'm not sure if he would officially appear since the author stated that he didn't actually thought of a rival till season 1 ended and it was hard for me to understand the tweet since I only use google translate...

Tbh I don't hate Alex but I was very skeptical about him AT FIRST cuz ... I don't feel a passionate or romantic vibe from him since he was only attracted to Cole's eyes at the first place and their compatibility when it comes to sex so I only saw him as FUK BOI......BUTTTTTT Σ(っ°Д °;)っ

He was actually pissed off at the whole situation that his best friend is being serious with Cole and the kissed did bothered him a lot... He is afraid to lose Cole even though he realized that Cole won't run away even if he hurts him badly ALSO seeing Alex's face being sad and depressed with the whole situation hurts a lot... ╥﹏╥

So I think they were meant to be together cuz I think they're are the only ones who can understand each other's fucked up personality despite being toxic (even Cole knows they don't have a healthy relationship) BUT hope things will work out for them so they can get healthier y'know

If you guys don't know this is a Spin off "Rumspringa no Joukei" which you should totally read, the story is unique and wholesome that it made me fall in love with the series that I got so addicted to it and read it several times since I can't get enough of it...

BUT ONE DAY A MIRACLE HAPPENED, the author announced on Twitter a spin off on 2019 and it got me so excited despite not understanding Japanese at all huhuhuh so I'm happy this one got translated THANK YOU SCANLATION TEAM, this upload made me cry out of happiness no joke

Dear Gene is going to be more than a Volume long (hopefully more than 2) the printed copy of the manga will be released this year on June 26... I'm saving all of my pocket money to buy this one and Rumspringa (even though I won't able to read Japanese the art of this author itself is already a selling point for me)

The kissing scene made my heart explode and I can't stop screeching!!!

We all knew that they would do it (bcuz it's a very common trope) but the author cherished that moment and made it feel special... it was worth the wait after those simple yet precious momments they spent together and you can feel their subtle feelings that they are in love but they're both afraid because they know it's something very risky and it's real thing that happen in same sex relationships

We need more bl manga that focuses on relationships between characters and what they feel about it..Bl manga should make more moments like kissing a heart stopping scene and make us readers feel what it's truly to feel to be in love

I think Painter of the Night was a right choice compared to Painter of Sex HAHAHHAHA!!!
I mean it's not a bad idea but I think it's too literal.. Painter of the Night has nice ring to it and has its own charm to it by being subtle

Director Kang thought our precious Yiyoung is a sassy bitch that would like to go a second round with him but in reality he is just an innocent baby who fell in love AHHHHHH!!!!

I think it's not wrong for Director Kang to misunderstand... he is a mature adult who did something risky with someone who is young and a hopeless romantic (since Yiyoung never worked out with his crushes, he's "probably" never been in a relationship or have a good experience)

Since Kang is a responsible adult who has a lot of experience, treating your one night stand properly is your responsibility but for Yiyoung it's romance for him...while Director enjoyed their compatibility, he never expected that yiyoung to fall in love with him after that night...

It's obvious that Kang is in love he just dosen't understand it yet cause he thinks he hasn't given Yiyoung the love he deserves....

It's called "Old fashioned cupcake with Cappuccino" ( just the title itself is so cute)

BUT!!! The story isn't finished, ok? We should all calm our tits down. I know that Chanwoo and especially MD fucked up big time but it's still ongoing so we shouldn't judge the story and the author.

We really love these characters that's why it was painful for us to see that they can be terrible people too. Dosen't mean they are the protagonists that they should be flawless. Like every other human, we make bad decisions and we can FUCK THINGS UP but we find ways to make things right (but obviously it won't be easy)

So we should be patiently wait for the following chapters and see till the end... I'm not saying that what they did was perfectly fine but judging the whole side story as shit without it finishing is just too shallow of you.... (there are readers who are rating the whole series low already like wtf)

The fact that "some" of you are saying that the author is doing a terrible job and talk shit, you are the worst. You think you have the audacity to judge someone's work especially when you are here in this site (reading it for free) and thinking writing/drawing a manhwa is simple. Give the author some respect for all they have done for this series that we love, even if the side story dosen't turn out what we expect or won't be good... we should accept the author's decision it's their choice.

TLDR; Let the side story finish before judging it as a whole, have more faith in this series...have more respect for the author and their work. We should be rooting and looking forward for the future of this manhwa instead of hating on it, ok? (●'◡'●)
