this chapter leads me to think that the new guy is someone like a professor or librarian in school. He calls puberty as "the mating season" because he releases pheromones which makes all those horny teens attracted to him. Since he doesn't want to be hunted down by those hornies he avoids his place of work (?). Nina is also a teenager probably going through puberty, thus she also got affected by his pheromones and that's why she's emotional (?) around him.
I came back a day after I read this to just comment this:
I've seen comments and reviews calling this as bl and shounen ai and whatever and I'm REALLY pissed off about it. I know in a way it is true, but when I see it used for this manga I just feel like it invalidates all the other characters' orientation. "BL" just feels insulting to this. As if all I've read has just been reduced to a straight girl's fantasy, and her eagerness to watch two random boys fall in love with each other. I might be a fujoor whatever, but still, there are so many other aspects you could focus on, and of all that you choose "BL" or "shounen ai", like wth? At least tag it as "gay" or "lgbt" or whatever if you want to focus only on their relationship.
There are so many beautiful characters with their own beautiful identities in this. I really want each and every one of them to be recognized and validated for being themselves. I don't want to misunderstand this manga as a typical shounen ai from the tags and description. This manga is SO different to what I expected, and therefore I don't want others to be misled by the tags and almost skip over this gem.
Sorry for going on a rant there, this manga just hits way too different

I can't bro I'm out. It used to be fun and all and I persevered till here but I can't handle anymore brain cell death. I thought I could handle it if it updated one chapter at a time but 3 in a row is too much I give up. I'm out. It's been a long and arduous journey, single brain cell fam.
