Im on the first chapter and i have no idea why the author took slavery and tried to give it another name-
Like-.they're slaves, just call them slaves, why'd they have to go and say that "slaves are better off"
'Causing people who dont know better to apply that idea to real life, smh
Do you not understand that slaves are still slaves in this world but they are better off then human objects. Slaves have rights therefore in this world you are not allowed to kill and experiment on them, you can only use them for work, but human objects aren’t even human to them so whatever you want to do to them is up to you. So no the author is downplaying slavery they are simply creating a new class in the system that are basically treated as non living objects.
Do you know that slaves are property? "Human objects" literally
Slaves don't have rights, can be toyed with physically and psychologically, killed at any point by their masters, legally
That's a part of the reality of slavery
Outside of whatever the author wanted to accomplish by using the term without the definition, I want to make sure you do know that's the core of slavery

Urgh, i mean i knew it! I had a huge hunch, but it still pisses me off
