Rumspringa no Joukei
My rating: 10/10 This is such a beautiful story, it will always hold a special place in my heart. The themes are family, loss, dreams and the sacrifices you make to achieve them. The characters are complex and especially the seme has a character growth. Him coming from a special community of people who live like their ancestors lifts this to another level and allows the story to discuss the question "What is happiness?" RELIGION, BAR, PROSTITUTE An Amish boy (seme) living in America in the 1980s travels to a bar for Rumspringa, a traditional coming-of-age period for members of the Amish community where the adolescent leaves the enclosed religious community to take part in the outside world. There, Theo meets a waiter (uke) who abandoned his dream to be a dancer.
Itoshi no Kemukujara
My rating: 7,5/10 It's pretty unique with "hair" as the main theme. I like the uke, he's strong-willed in spite of his internal struggle. It's a light read, they're so cute together. But they fall in love fast. Don't worry about the seme's face, they all wear masks in his world. ISEKAI, HAIR, ROYALTY A young man (uke) with a complex about his lack of body hair gets teleported into another world after wishing to live somewhere where people accept his body. He lands in a prince's (seme) bathtub in a country where everyone is covered in fur. Even though the others call him a monster, the prince takes an interest in him and takes him in.
Yoru to Futari
My rating: 7,5/10 Vampire x human stories are always bittersweet bc the human will die and leave the vampire behind. Here, they both suffer from loneliness when they meet, it's an important theme. For quite some time it isn't clear who of them is the vampire. The uke's impulsive and confident while the seme is calm and gentle. Sadly some things are left unexplained. VAMPIRE, STRONG UKE Mitsuru (uke) lives in his dead grandpa's old villa near a remote village. One day, a mysterious stranger (seme) appears who introduces himself as his grandpa's old friend. Bc he's the uke's type, he decides to tease the seme, but the guy takes it seriously and offers to be friends instead.
Cloudburst
My rating: 6,5/10 This slow burn has a good start but gets boring in the middle. It feels like some important details are missing and the issue with the ex is just dropped. It lacks some spice. The ending wraps it all up nicely tho and the romance is cute. The seme doesn't talk much which makes him seem cold and is very straightforward while the uke is mentally strong and cheeky but also kind. It's yaoi. OFFICE ROMANCE, REUNION The uke was outed against his will in college and suffered a lot. Now, the same thing happens again and he's fired. Luckily, his friend introduces him to a good company, but he later finds out that the CEO (seme) is the guy he suspects of spreading the rumours in the past.
The Great Marriage-Hunting Busters
My rating: 4/10 It doesn't get boring bc of all the different characters they encounter while searching for a marriage partner. But everything goes too smoothly, it's too obvious that they're the main characters in this world. All in all the characters are one-dimensional, it's an entertaining but simple read. MARRIAGE HUNTING, FRIENDS The daughter of a rich conglomerate family (FL) has to search for a marriage partner and turns it into a competition with her childhood friend (ML) who's in the same situation. But all their attempts go wrong somehow.
Tsubame's Happiness
My rating: 7/10 It's an interesting story with a good setting, likable characters and entertaining dynamics. The seme's overly serious and the uke's energetic and cheeky, they quarrel a lot. But the ending is rushed, kinda disappointing. YAKUZA, HATE TO LOVE A college student (uke) gets sold off to the yakuza by his own brother. He'd rather die than work for them, but then the boss orders him to take care of the group's workaholic (seme) even though they get along like fire and water.
Shugo tte! Akuryou ojisan
My rating: 7/10 It's short but hot, kinda scary too. The ghosts look like actual evel spirits here, the seme included. The uke's very trusting and "too nice" for his own good. Their relationship becomes cute later on. GHOST, SMUT The uke has a high sensitivity for evel spirits. Lately, they startet groping him in his sleep. One night, a middle aged man (seme) comes out of his closet and proposes to protect him of the uke lets him "lick his delicious soul" sometimes.
With One Day Left I'll Break All the Destruction Flags: "Serves You Right!" RTA 24 Hour Record
My rating: 7/10 I really like that she doesn't change her attitude like the normal villainesses do, she doesn't turn into someone else. It's pretty suspenseful with her having to change her fate in 1 day. What bugs me is the senseless obsession of the men with the og heroine, this feels a bit cheap. It's a good read tho, entertaining and with an interesting at the end. REINCARNATION, VILLAINESS A duke's daughter (FL) who's engaged with the crown prince realises that she's the villainess of a game 1 day before the og heroine who also reincarnated will defeat her. Now, she has to do everything to prevent that.
Jishou Akuyaku Reijou na Konyakusha no Kansatsu Kiroku
My rating: 9/10 It's quite enjoyable, really funny too. It's written from the ML's pov. He's highly intelligent and devoid of emotions at first. The FL with her pure and energetic nature changes him, it's quite adorable n develops into an (harmless) obsession on his part. What makes this so wholesome is also the "found family" concept. They gradually gather friends around them who support each other. And I really like that here the seemingly senseless obsession of the men with og heroine in the og story is actually explained (and it's a rather unique reason). REINCARNATION, COMEDY Crown prince Cecil (ML) is so brilliant that everything in life is easy to the point of boring him. But during their first meeting, his fiancée Bertia (FL) suddenly proclaims that she's the villainess of an otome game and that she will do everything to fulfill her role and help him find happiness with the og heroine. Quite interesting ...
Mayday mayday mayday!
