Last ch 32.5 Hubert and Melissa are so cute together. That boy has been pining after her for 10 years, urged on by the White Queen who took one look at Melissa and decided that the little girl in her rider’s arms would be his life partner. Seeing how protective Blue is of Melissa and all the mention about how no woman has bonded with a dragon no matter how close the relationship was, gives me the impression that she’s going to be the first female dragon rider/knight. She is the beloved partner of Blue’s mate’s rider, on top of her adoring dragons and all other reasons why dragons naturally love her. She genuinely loves dragons and they can tell. There is a good chance that even if she wasn’t officially Hubert’s blessed partner, she would still have a good relationship with the trained dragons. All dragons, their riders, the estate workers, and those who love dragons, are going to protect Melissa from these bastards trying to take her away for their own benefit. That knight saying that she, of all people, was attacked by a dragon, is the most bullshit thing he could have said. It’s literally impossible for that to happen. The two rulers of the dragons adore her, no dragon would ever cause her any harm. (Ch 26.6) I think her being Blue’s foster mother is better than her being his bonded partner. There is still a chance for that in the future but their relationship right now is very precious and I adore it. (Ch 32.5)
