Did not read the tags at all.. Saw it was short and decided to read it. The story takes place after the war and follows two korean male lovers. One of the lovers has a thirst for knowledge. He decides he wants to settle in Qing (now known as China). He was arrested for possessing a catholic item. The other lover then went to Qing waiting for him to be released. In the end the two never met ever again. I really thought they would meet again. It really hit me especially since it was unexpected... I hope that they will meet in the afterlife.

I cried so many time while reading this. I'm still crying after an hour. Oh my god this is so fucking good and to top it off the art is fucking majestic. The ending is beautiful. The characters stories are beautiful. What I liked most that I think helped it connect to me emotional is Alan's story. The religious trauma he faced is something I could understand in some ways.
