Ukai Yuta is a half-baked detective who wants to solve his own childhood case where someone mysterious helped him while he was kidnapped. It turns out that his former high school classmate Kondo Naozumi aka Chikamichi was the one that helped him as a child and Chikamichi has loved him ever since. The two enter a romantic relationship and become partner detectives. Mostly mediocre and forgettable.

Slow burn romance with heavy themes. First part is tough to take because Dan’s feelings seem crazy (trauma bond) but the second part when Jaekyung chases after him is just perfection. Not for the faint of heart - the smut is extremely graphic and it is painful to watch Dan be chronically mistreated by life and Jaekyung. Happy moments are very rare. But there seems to be a hard-fought redemption arc for both of them underway.

Popular, gregarious omega seduces a shy alpha and they engage in an undeclared relationship. Hilarious, interesting, likable characters. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
