Playboy Beast
Ehhh this was. Yk it exists I guess. I think the art is nice and I like that the author didn't give them two sets of ears, but the plot was a bit odd and the interactions between the seme and uke feel really heavily in dubcon territory for most of the manga. Not to mention how weird it is that the seme is fucking the school nurse, like. That's some weird power violation shit and it felt weird to see it brushed under the rug like it was no big deal
Flex Appeal
Complicated feelings about this one, REAL complicated. I find the characters and overall plot interesting, and for the most part I really like everyone. But I've got quite a few problems with the seme. First of all, he's insanely jealous and possessive over the uke when they're not in a relationship at all, and that's always something that irks me in the first place, but add on the fact that he's known he likes him and wants a relationship with him for quite a while and is pretty sure he likes him too but just hasn't said anything??? Brother eugh. You have no claim over this man when you can't get your shit together and tell him you want to be in a relationship with him, don't get controlling and possessive, that's so shitty. What also throws me off is the sex scenes, it's poorly handled bdsm in the first place but what especially pisses me off is the insanely poor handling of safewords. In both cases, the seme chose them for the uke without making sure he was comfortable with them (red flag), and when the uke actually USED a safeword, he DIDNT STOP. (MAJOR RED FLAG.) It bothers me that the author brought up the uke's past trauma with poorly treated bdsm and then proceeded to put him in another relationship with a different flavor of poorly treated bdsm, it just makes the whole situation that much worse. Anyways, I really like the idol and wish the uke would end up with him, but I doubt it unfortunately. I'll still stick around to the end
The Person Sitting Next to Me Looking at Me With Perverted Eyes
One of the only het manga I actually like! I LOVE the characters, I think their dynamic is so fun and silly to follow, they're both so stupid I need them blown up. The art is also very lovely, everything is very visually appealing and I like that for once there's not just ecchi shots of the girl and instead the guy gets the same treatment. And oh my god what a boyfailure, he's such a mess, how'd bro pull such a baddie like eguchi...
It's Just a Dream...Right?!
I LOVED THIS??? SO MUCH????? It was so much more interesting than I thought it was going to be and I adored the characters and their relationship development... The art is so nice, the plot was really unique and engaging, and the sex scenes were really fun. Hugeee fan, highly recommend giving this one a read
Unlucky Cupid Messenger
Initially this was a 4 star yaoi but the last chapter honestly brought it down a whole star for me? Idk, the seme is a bit of a creep and while it's kind of endearing it's also not, and the uke not clarifying that he doesn't have a boyfriend he's cheating on with the seme bothered me. Basically I just felt the ending could've been better. The art is lovely though and the story was good, if not a little lacking, for the most part
Hot and Steamy Bakery
Waiting for updates! I'll write a proper review when all the stories are out, but as of rn, the first story isn't bad, although it was a little bland for my tastes. The second story is entertaining so far and has beautiful artwork, so I'm looking forward to more chapters
Crazy Rich Santa
Interesting? Also really weird if I'm being honest. Three love interests, one... admittedly kind of dumb uke, it's entertaining and I'm interested in seeing where it goes. The landlord is a piece of shit though, I'm not a fan of him. Also why does the actor look so similar to the uke's brother...? I genuinely thought they were the same dude until they talked
The Brothers' Secrets
Normally, incest stories are an automatic 1 star for me. But I found this one to be genuinely really interesting. It's very much a psychological horror and I think it was genuinely pretty well done. Super fucked up and I could've gone without the drawn out sex scenes, but the actual horror part of it was genuinely interesting and not a bad read. I still can't recommend it though because of the subject matter, but yk
