Okay, so, terrified to type this, but someone’s gotta say it.
I’ve mentioned this before, but shoujo is the straight equivalent of shounen ai, and HENTAI/JOSEI is the straight equivalent of yaoi.
So when people compare straight works to yaoi and claim that yaoi has more rape or is more problematic, they’re unfairly comparing yaoi to shoujo o......
