From my understanding the party was to make everyone see blondie and to present him as an important figure in the vampire house in the future.
When he went to the shoot in a previous chapter, it was to get people to start talking since the sponsors who were invited were vampires and the party was a more formal way to make everyone see blondie AND the head of the house would also tell everyone present how important the guy would be.
I think the vampire dad thought he'd be sly for doing that and it would put blondie and hyungwoo in danger, I mean he was fulfilling his promise of giving blondie an important role in the house.
What the sly bastards did (lmao) was that they shifted a lot of attention to Gunchan. Even tho vampire dad didn't notice it, people had started talking about Gunchan a long time ago cause they noticed how close the vampire dad had been to him. After hearing about the rumors people wanted to know who that Gunchan guy was and what he looked like.
When Hyungwoo was releasing his energy called dominance because he was mad that his father suddenly called blondie to the stage (which i think wasn't meant to happen during the party) blondie did the smart thing and put the spotlight on Gunchan, therefore shifting the attention onto him. And since Gunchan wasn't fazed by Hyungwoo's energy called dominance everybody was shook.
Basically what the vampire dad did to our main couple was done back to him xD, what shook him even more is when Gunchan said he lookew forward to writing more stories with him, since it was kinda like saying Il stay with u.
In a previous chapter the vampire dad says that Gun chan so that he stays with him, he baits a writer with stories lmao
And Gunchan gives his answer in public
