My unpopular opinion: the wife shouldnt be back.
ML and FL are divorced. ML neglected FL throughout his entire marriage, his family abused her. Yet all of a sudden, after re-encountering her post-divorce, he realises he might love her?
When he decides to pursue her again, he realises how little he actually knows about her - bc he gave no fucks abt her when they were married.
He tries to improve on his shortcomings and decides to be better.
5.5/10. They got back tgt. Booo.
ML who thinks he's the only one having troubles in the entire world. Doesn't like FL bc he thought her life is about tea parties & dresses, and that you can't love the partner that your family chose for you. Although they were engaged for 10 years he neglected her. FL worked hard to be a perfect empress, wasted her entire childhood. She eventually got enough and just wants to live for herself and her son.

FL got groomed by nasty duke bastard to seduce his half-brother (emperor) so he can get the throne. Then she died.

Emperor loved FL sincerely. Bastard realised he also loved her, and regretted after she died.
Time rewind for all three characters. FL gets revenge. Bastard crawling on his knees and all that.
8.5/10 - read chap 1 & directly skip to chap 15 to avoid pointless suffering.
Empress FL sacrifices everything to get Emperor to where he is, only to get cheated on, betrayed and beheaded. She decides to get revenge if she could turn back time. Same author as Lady to Queen, apparently.

The bastard emperor is not the ML. Unsure if that guy even regrets in the end. A lot of discussion on how disappointing the story is from novel readers, but waiting for more manhwa chaps to decide for myself.

After several misunderstandings, they separated. ML later tried to manipulate FL into liking him by acting uninterested, just so he can rub it in about how he's fine without her + to make her suffer w jealousy. FL liked him but insecure ass thought he moved on, so she suffered for a bit but then she was like *ok well, im moving on too*
ML: *cries* why dont you like me anymore.

5/10. Lack of communication for ~first 30ch was infuriating
The ogFL and ogML pisses me off bc they take advantage of ML's love, then happily get married. The ML left heartbroken and he couldn't stop wallowing in self-pity. FL comes to rescue ML and started revenge on the shit couple, but doesn't get appreciated. FL always had good feelings for ML (bias) but ML hesitant to love again after having his heart broken. ML didn't confess until wayyy later, and then FL accepted it instantly.

BRO CAN THIS TRASH FUCKING ML GO TO HELL? Fucking bastard raped FL multiple times and discarded her for his *business marriage*. Then GUESS WHAT- HE LIKED HER ALL ALONG and his two tiny brain cells couldn't configure LOVE.
The whole plot is about how "misunderstandings" push the two ppl apart even though they like each other. Hey listen, if you have enough power to stalk her, why not stalk enough get the whole story to de-misunderstand the situation? 0 effort fr.

Idk if the manga is diff but in the light novel the 1st ML isn't being controlled or anything, he's just a douch (tho he does have a dream when he remembers a "past cycle" where he himself is like "wtf bro" but then wakes up remembering nothing)

I'm confused on how is "I’m Divorcing My Tyrant Husband" is popular when the ml is straight up garbage.
Ive dropped it after some time cuz honestly it became so boring and predictable after a certain point. I stopped checking in regularly for updates and skip 5 chapters to see how plot is going (guess what it hasn't progressed at all/went exactly the way i predicted).
I deffo need to change the rating on that one. ML didn't repent much tbh.

Just read that novel, it's prtty good and sentimental! I love how the FL actually gets a loving ML. Author did good by developing main focus of the story with FL's new rs and making the bastard repenting a sideplot (cuz i want dogfood but also i wanna see idiots grovel)
